Re: v Paulton

Very clear view of Harvey dismisall and Guthrie booking both fair challenges whereas Williams got away with a shocker in the first half. The referee was appalling

Re: v Paulton

You would have thought looking at Paulton's pitch yesterday that it had been raining for weeks. Virtually impossible to play on and therefore difficult to pass any comment on the performance although Paulton coped better than we did. But I suppose they are more used to playing on it. It's now what 9 games since a win and the way we are playing the 17 winless run under Rudge could be under threat especially as we have away games coming up against Weymouth, Poole and Truro where you can't see us getting anything out of those games. Maybe the Truro game we should try a Bideford and get the game called off because players can't get the time off!
We are now at the stage we need to be taking points off teams like Paulton and getting a win against Frome is vital given the games we have coming up.
Regarding Knappy Talks comment yes it is getting a bit like that but perhaps you could enlighten us with where you see any positives at the moment because from what I've witnessed recently I can't see any.

Re: v Paulton

Positives, Younger squad, Park lads given a chance, more points than last time last year, club has a vision not that of Hereford Salisbury etc. Why does everyone think we should be a top 5 team ?

Re: v Paulton

Blueboo, I accept the club from what I see is well run and we should be grateful for that. I meant positives on the playing side. As I mentioned in a previous posting we have some good players and should not be struggling the way we are so just how far on are we from this time last year when the current managment team took over? An 8/9 winless run to my mind doesn't strike me as much progress. I'll take your word for it that we have more points than this time last year but that's not much of a positive given how awful we were early on last season. As for the Park lads you will no doubt correct me if I have wrong but I can only recall Ryan Campbell and perhaps one other playing for the first team. Given the injuries we have had meaning more than often we didn't have a full subs bench why were Park players not drafted in to at least fill the bench and at the same time giving them some time on the pitch? As for "why does everyone think we should be a top 5 team" that's news to me. You start off every season hoping to at least make the play offs but more than often not too long into the season you realise its not going to happen and you are not a top 5 team.

Re: v Paulton

Park lads. Campbell, Clark, and Youth team lad Charlie. 8/9 winless includes 5 draws, (didnt happen last year) Not a top 5 team for sure,so what you expecting then ? Accept where  we are and and stop looking for continous negatives.Injury ravaged season and only beaten badly by Bideford/Dunstable.

Re: v Paulton

So that's three not exactly a massive use of that pool of players is it given at time how the first team were struggling numbers wise. You said everyone thinks we should be a top 5 team not me.I meant by my comment that we all hope  at the start of the season we will  finish in the top five but it doesn't take long for reality to kick in and realise that just ain't going to happen. Not a criticism merely an observation. I think most people this season just hoped for some improvement over last season but given the comments on this forum the view seems to be we have  not moved forward much. I pay my money and am therefore entitled to express a view. I don't think in this email trail I have been overly critical just trying to point out where I see things at the moment.

Booboo, keep up

Given the pedigree of the players we've signed, i.e their experience, the levels they've played at previously and that the majority of us wanted Collier think we're entitled to feel a bit disappointed by recent results. We have a more experienced squad yet seem to be making little progress on the pitch. Off the pitch no problem with how things are being ran yet once again we've been knocked out of the cups by the end of November and are closer to the bottom than the top so excuse us for being  a bit disappointed.

Who said anything about us being a top 5 team, for the last couple of season's we've been happy to stay in the division.

Injury ravaged squad, didn't Collier say just the other week that he had a big squad, time to start using it and as pointed out by Joiner don't we have a reserve team to help fill the bench. Why should we accept where we are, what's wrong with showing some ambition and wanting to aim high, providing the club is secure off the pitch I know

Re: v Paulton

No problem,my issue is that most forums are laden with moaning whingers, Not that you are of course. Points improvement, more goals, less against, longer cup run, less highly paid players, younger squad.
