Re: Bideford quaking

As I didn't go to Bideford ( relief!!!) can't comment on what happened but having seen last Saturday's game if they played the same its no wonder they got stuffed. Mark Collier is quoted in the G & H as saying still missing personnel and propbably four or five short of what he wants. Well, as nothing on the website or in the G & H report regarding the team I just wonder who these missing four or five are?
It's now eight games since we won and given the way we are playing it's difficult to see where a win is coming from. But never know getting tonked on Saturday may bring about some positive reaction. We have some good individual players who are more than capable of holding their own in this league and is the problem therefore not down to individual players but down to the system they play? OK when we had a stack of injuries you made the most of the players available but it now seems to me with more players back certain players aren't being played in their best positions. For example, we have good wide attacking players but wings just seem to be a no go area with most play swashed up in the middle.

Re: Bideford quaking

Looks like we played with a very attacking team.Early in the season reason for not scoring goals was creating plenty of chances but due to injuries no specialist forwards to finish them off.Now we have the forwards but still not scoring.Didnt play yesterday with recognised wide defenders to start off.At times i find team selections strange. Is it time to give fringe players a chance, some so called first choices have had more chances than they deserve.Still hopefully new year might be better.

Re: Bideford quaking

Agree a long time to go yet! Injuries have been harsh on us,but  squad is decent ,just need to get all fit and then lets see, I can understand playing  attacking  full backs to give us the width .
