Heard on Wilts radio this am that Salisbury have a transfer embargo, until they clear their debts. Do not know how much debt or to whom.

That'll end in tears.

Salisbury given until 5pm tomorrow to pay up unpaid wages etc or get thrown out of Conference. Hope we don't see them in our league. Stick 'em in the Wessex.

The only way to try and put a stop to these clubs poor financial management with the likes of Salisbury and hereford as examples is to actually kick them right down to the bottom of the pyramid and start again. It's too easy to just drop them down a couple of leagues, like they did with Salisbury before and a couple of good seasons with decent crowds at that level and they are back where they were again, in the meantime clubs who work hard within their means then have a job to push on and progress themselves.
The threat and the punishment has to be bigger

Not looking good for them - problem is though the knock on effect when clubs of this strength get parachuted into the lower levels - totally wrecks the chances of better financially managed to progress.
