Frome Town - New manager

I see that Frome Town have appointed Adrian Foster as their new manager. He was previously with Gillingham Town, who are currently sitting second in the Premier Division, Western League. Wonder if we'll see the "new manager effect" this afternoon?

Re: Frome Town - New manager

Then again............!  1-1 now (Griffin)

Half time: Chips  2    (Griffin & Dean) Fromies 1

Now 3 - 1  (Griffin again)

Now 3  - 2    15 mins or so to go

At the death 3--3

Got to hand it to Frome to get it in extra time.

Unbelievable from our point of view.

Re: Frome Town - New manager

Full credit to Frome for fighting back from 3-1 down. But lets be honest we made it easy for them. We were coasting at 3-1 and then went to pieces and let Frome back in the game. We were winning the ball in defence then appalling balls out of defence straight back to a Frome player and  pressure back on. Inviting them to score. Not very clever. What happened to the best form of defence is attack!! Pity we haven't got another 10 players who show the same passion and committment as Griff.

Re: Frome Town - New manager

We went from poor to good to poor in the 90 plus minutes.  Very sluggish start, too much hoof ball and giving away possession.  Griff equalized then we were on top and played some decent stuff, going in two-one up.  When the third goal went in we seemed to sit back and surrender possession again. A wonder goal for their second out of nothing, then came the crunch moment.  Knighton clean through on goal and he scuffs it.  Bad bobble or not, that was a shocker and I had the feeling we'd be made to pay for it.  Fair play to Frome as they kept going but we should have put them away with ease.

Re: Frome Town - New manager

A couple of Frome fans were discussing after the final whistle how it felt as though they'd just won the game. It probably did feel that way for them, whereas for us it was like a defeat. Some booing at the end from a few behind the goal. My own observations pretty much mirror those of Insideleft. Knighton should have buried the ball in the back of the net or at least forced a save out of Chitty. He had two defenders on his tail and a fairly tight angle, but that's what strikers are paid to do.

Re: Frome Town - New manager

Again we let in two late goals and this time we were not chasing the game. I see Bedford have sacked their manager - let's hope they don't do a St Neots
