Exeter game

G&H states 7 - 1 trouncing. The officials decided to play 3 x 30 minute periods, so each official could take the middle, for a period, unknown to both teams, it appeared, and disrupted the game completely.
The first two periods the game was well contested and a very good game of entertaining football. The game was even, going into the last period, where Chipp made several changes, including the central defence and keeper, that is when the wheels come off and the youthful Exeter teams fitness showed.

Re: Exeter game

Although we can't blame our defeat on the methods of refereeing, it does strike me as quite surreal that they decided to split the game into several periods. Why was this decision made?

Re: Exeter game

It was to allow each of the officials a chance to be the man in the centre.

I liked it and suggest we should have all our games like that as it a chance to change the referee, after all we have seen some shockers in recent year.

Re: Exeter game

Or will that just give us three awful referees instead of one?
