Plymouth Parkway MOTM Poll

FT 3-2. Haines, Miles or Richards-Everton MOTM for me. Really hope we can make the most of Ben, as far as his knee allows anyway, as he made a big impact today. An exciting game, a little shaky at times but showed some good quality as well.

Re: Plymouth Parkway MOTM Poll

Thought Luke Haines was outstanding today. After giving away a goal early on thought we controlled the majority of the game.Plymouth parkway number 5 looked a quality player.Hopefully we can get better week on week.Midfield looked  and played with more attacking intent.Richards - Everton looks like he could be a useful addition.Only concern is when crosses go into the box we need to convert them into more shooting opportunities.Well done to Felix Miles for forcing their goalkeeper to gift us the winning goal.

Does the keeper need looking at? Can’t help but think he’s not up to standard. Fell over gave away a corner. Stayed led down while PP tappped in an equaliser. Couldn’t catch a cold at Uxbridge. Am I the only one thinking this?!

Nope, he's only 18. Let him be part of this project and grow with us. No point bringing young players in if we can't nurture them.

As for the "not catching a cold" - there's some semi-interesting dialogue on X from a very experienced keeper at this level talking about how poor the balls are this year - quote in the thread: "absolute wobble balls", so I'll forgive him for dropping some at the first game

Why is the ball yellow? It's not snowing at the moment, is it?

Re: Plymouth Parkway MOTM Poll

I'm not sure who was at fault for the early goal. I'm sure they will look closely at the video. From my seat it looked like an over hit cross that somehow ended up in the net. Maybe the goalie should have done better or one of our two centre halves should have met the ball. Our goalie did give away a needless corner by catching a ball that was way outside his area and clearly going out for a goalkick but dropped it. Other than that he did OK.

The final goal was a thing of beauty, the video highlight doesn't show all the build up play from Felix. His perseverance and drive deserved the well taken goal.

I thought we took a benefit from our young team yesterday. The opposition looked tired and they made all their subs without much effect. Obviously a good side though so we did well to get the 3 points but deserved them
