Relegation... CONFIRMED

Writing had been on the wall all season. Chippenham have lacked real quality, and as for the officiating in the league well... "So Long (NLS), Farewell (NLS), Auf Wiedersehen, Goodbye".

Re: Relegation... CONFIRMED

Bath have a mountain to climb in order to not join us in the SPL and it's not even in their own hands. Both Salisbury and Dover only need one point from their two remaining games to stay up.

Re: Relegation... CONFIRMED

Well this was pretty inevitable really.

I’ll miss NLS, had some great memories. Hopefully we’ll be back next year.

Chippenham have held their own with the ‘big boys’ for so long.

I was of the opinion months ago that there should be a change in management. I have now changed my mind.

For the first time in the post match interviews the manager came out and said it how it is. The players have let the club down significantly. There failure to convert chances when on top in games was the overriding factor.

There needs to be a big rotation of players. The manager will have the intuition to weed out these underperforming players.

Roll on season 26-27

New Fan, I know. I went, Bath scrappy and dangerous play at times. Got away with a lot. Totton thoroughly deserved the win

Re: Relegation... CONFIRMED

Are you sure you went, you seem to be talking about a different game to the one that I was at?

As newfan said "as expected" relegation was confirmed and hopefully a pretty much full clear out will now follow. Unfortunately our much loved Boxing Day fixture will probably give way to Frome or maybe Yate but we'll lock 'Orns twice more at any rate.
Enjoy your summer.

Re: Relegation... CONFIRMED

For christ sake Horgan, please don't wait for the chairman to accept your resignation and just walk away. The blame for our relegation falls mainly on your shoulders - you signed players who are simply not good enough and didn't ship them out when it was obvious they were poor and your tactical awareness is non existent.
Please give us a glimmer of hope for next season and go now to give time for someone else to build a new squad of players.

Well said! No way should the Chairman take responsibility for our relegation, our first in 40 years!!
Last summers player recruitment was indeed poor and our style of play was totally negative. Too much reliance on stats which I guess came from the “Academy” side of the coaching team!!
