Re: Horgan has to go

If you're going down, go down like a bloody lion, not like a lamb.

But if you're going to sack the manager, make sure you have a plan B. The chairman has some thinking to do tonight as he watches the strictly results show with a glass of red

Want a bare knuckle fight? I'll knock you out you Cnut.

Re: Horgan has to go

So we’re 1-0 down and he takes arguably the best player from the first half off (Colwell) after 60 mins. Clueless…totally clueless.

Re: Horgan has to go

Surely that must be the final nail in the management teams coffin. If the chairman wants to stay in this league he has to act NOW.
Whilst we didn't play badly we should not be losing to teams like that

Re: Horgan has to go

By far the better side today, think Dagenham only had one shot on target and that was the goal, which came from a mistake from Henry,  which was a great strike by Carrol
We had always 4 good chances 1st half, 2 falling to Olaf who is desperate for a goal but just wouldn’t come.
2nd half we mostly dominated they only got out of their half for the odd counter attack, although we didn’t create anything clear cut.
The Daggers were the poorest side I’ve seen this season and it’s worrying we could beat them.
The signs are there but maybe we need to dip into the loan market up front.

Re: Horgan has to go

Effort was there as it has been all season and didn't deserve to lose but lose we did - to a team who themselves will probably be fighting relegation. Unfortunately the kind of result that happens to serious relegation candidates like ourselves. The importance of having a decent striker very apparent this afternoon.

Worrying times as the club as a whole seems to be lacking direction. Slump has been on the cards for some time so someone needs to get a grip. Six points adrift with a poor goal difference says it all.

Re: Horgan has to go

That's not a performance that requires the manager to go. The league position and points say otherwise. We did mostly everything right except put the ball in their net. They had one chance from an uncharacteristic error from Will and they scored - of course it had to be Andy Carroll that did that. My only complaint is that we don't seem to have the intelligence to play at home on our own ground. Second half down the slope with the strong wind behind us and we didn't make sensible use of that. Ref was poor too. If he gives what looked like a certain penalty early on we would have won. As someone in the stand said if that was outside the box he would have given a foul.Haines audacious lob from the halfway line which injured the keeper in keeping it out on another day would have been in and the goal of the season. Took the ref nearly the whole 90mins to book AC for dissent even though he had 'final' warnings from early on.

For me that's not enough to lose Horgan, unless there is already a relevant Plan B

Good to see Harry P play today. If he is fit now, he is our best hope to rescue the season

Re: Horgan has to go

A much better performance today, another day we might have had a penalty and the goalie could have seen red.Same old story we can’t put the ball in the net, unlucky at times and poor finishing has been our Achilles Heal all season .One mistake at the back and we get punished.Would like to see Owen -Evans and Parsons up front together, if those can’t turn results round then yes I agree it could be a long and tough season.

Re: Horgan has to go

Unfortunately not good enough in both boxes, can’t score and can’t keep clean sheets. 6 points off safety, very worrying.

Re: Horgan has to go

I don't think the Board will get rid of GH unless they have a backup plan already in place. We are actually playing quite well at times but not having much luck. As has previously been stated we desperately need a goalscorer. Today we could and should have been winning before their goal went in. The omens are not good, it's very difficult to get out of the bottom 4 in this league once in it.
