A very decent all round performance I thought. A brilliant through ball by Andrews found Mehew who finished expertly. More opportunities spurned in the first half but at least we created them with some decent build up play. Chesham always looked dangerous going forward but Freddie and the rest defended brilliantly, especially in the second half when they came at us down the slope. (Did we win the toss and turn round? Not sure). A great break and build up play for our second, finished off by Harry, saw us bag the points. An entertaining game for those that bothered to turn up.
41 points by mid-February - once again we punch above our weight as a club in this division comprising of 6 or 7 full time teams (if the Non-League Paper is to be believed). Outstanding.

Agree, the first goal on 4 mins was superb and we could/should have been 3 or 4 nil up by HT. Pinned back hard in the early part of the second half and needed the goal to kill the game off.

A very good first half, with 4 good chances and two perfect ones .. only one of which was taken, quite brilliantly by the combined efforts of Tom Mehew and Joe Andrews. Thought we'd be punished for not getting a deserved 2nd or 3rd and nearly were when we came out looking lacklustre and off-it in the the second half. They had their tails up and we looked anything but composed, repeatedly letting them get straight back at us with a succession of chances and corners. We did ride the storm, though, and thanks to Will Dawes' brilliant piece of control and decisive release, we burglared a good second goal on the counter. Thereafter, with some extra muscle in AAH at the back we saw the game out very professionally. I don't know what was going on with Will Dawes.. but a compadre suggested that, given his earlier Red at Chesham, they might have been targeting him deliberately, hoping for a repeat.. There was quite a lot of heated "dialogue" between their bench and Will. Happily he did his most significant talking on the pitch and was a particular threat in the first half.

Would describe it as a solid all round performance. Unusual quick start bringing about Mehew's goal.Should of built on the lead and made it a more comfortable 2nd half but Chesham could of played all night and still not scored. Didn't quite catch the attendance figure but it must of been below 400?

At last we got to see Parsons and McClure on the pitch together for over an hour, thought they did pretty well up front. If we were short of defenders thought AAH might have started at the back, Chesham did have the upper in the second half.Pleased to see how we attacked for the majority of the game.Concerned that for both Tuesday night games crowds of less than 400.
