Glad to note that like me most saw an impressive performance from Andrews. Shame we didn't get a point as I think we deserved at least one

I think we were well worth a point yesterday. Both sides had long periods where they dominated the ball and the attacking play. The slight difference was it seemed Dorking expected to win and so did there noicey supporters, they really helped there team. They pushed the players on and they took their chances when on top. I felt very disappointed for the lads as did most fans leaving the ground. But I don’t think our boys could have given more. 😎

There was nothing too wrong at all with yesterday's performance. We made good chances but only took one. We dealt with them very well in the first half ( as they did with us) and deprived them of time and space. Just like Farnboough, they came at us more in the 2nd half and we got outgunned in one or two key areas, where we lack enforcement and "nous". We seem to be getting a bit bullied at the back... with 2 of our principal enforcers benched/injured.. Dorking were a small side ( compared to some of the giants we encounter) but were well-drilled, busy and more ruthless than us ultimately. Four of our best X1 were on the bench..recovering from injury or being rested. I thought it told. Excellent crowd who probably deserved to see a fighting draw.. but it wasn't to be. Can't argue with Joe Andrews as MOTM. He grows in strength, confidence and influence. Some of his driving runs ( one of which created our goal) were the most entertaining momemts of the afternoon.

Think it was one of those games where there will be different views on who deserved what.McClure's miss happened then Dorking stepped up and they took advantage of their best spell in the game to shade it.We didn't really have a sustained spell of pressure until the very end and missed opportunities earlier at important stages of the game. Looks like there was a foul on one our players before their first goal but don't do the basics defending and get caught ball watching on a straight pass - you get punished. Second goal - didn't do enough to stop a cross and again got punished. Once again- not sure what McClure brings to things. Unfortunate Mehew wasn't on longer to take up those advanced positions he finds- they didn't like being ran at. Effort was there yesterday but came up short - it is what it is.
On a final note - it was good to see a decent sized crowd. As Dorking have a youtube following - maybe upped the gate number.
