I've done a projection based on results over the last 3 months - an indication of current form. The worst performing teams over this period are Bedworth and Frome. - Bedworth have overwhelmingly the worst defensive record of all the 5 teams, however Frome can't score. Therefore the drop will be contested between these two teams, all we need I reckon is 4 points from our last 10 games and we're safe.
Team Games played Pts gms since dec pts average games left projection
Chippenham 32 33 15 11 0.7333333333 10 40.3333333333
Redditch 28 32 12 13 1.0833333333 14 47.1666666667
Hitchin 30 31 12 14 1.1666666667 12 45
Frome 31 30 16 8 0.5 11 35.5
Bedworth 30 29 13 7 0.5384615385 12 35.4615384615

For my money, you can rule Redditch out of the equation. From what I saw of them at HP they're a young side who work hard for eachother and like to pass the ball around. They're capable of beating teams and also have games in-hand.

Think it will be bedworth as Darren will hold his nerve

I can't see 4 points being enough to keep you up but you never know - it's really tight between Frome, Chippenham and Bedworth, hope its Bedworth

Think 45 like last year will be needed as all teams near bottom all capable of getting the odd win here and there, especially near end of season where either teams have nothing to play for or start resting players if there guaranteed a play off place

Anything is possible but looking at the figures G posted then were asking teams who are averaging half a point per game to treble that. I think 4 wont be enough but also cant see the bottom four including us reaching 45.

If we continue to play like we did against Barwell (and avoid any more suspensions to key players) we'll win 4 or 5 games between now and the end of the season. I hope Frome survive too, the local derby scene is very scarce in the Southern Prem at the moment.

A good point well made Insideleft. We are early in our Frome rivalry and it would be good to end up with the kind of relationship that we eventually had with Bath City, even if it is with smaller crowds. It would be nice to think that if sufficiant interest were generated we could make figures of 350-400 for a game. That won't happen with many other sides in the league.
