Re: St Albans

St Albans looked a good side, worthy of their position, and had several waves throughout the game of intense pressure when they looked bound to score.  Fair play to our back 3 who kept them at bay ( just) despite a 10 minute period of mix-ups and miscues in the second half.  Was pleased with the point, as I'm sure they were. When we were on top we looked, once again, really good... although we overplayed a couple of times round their area.  Bizarre dismissal.  You allow the advantage and let play  continue, and then bring play back to the other side of the pitch and red card the wrong player. At least they got the right one, de Trollio, in the end.  Excellent crowd.. far more than any of us predicted at 680 or so. The fanatstic run continues.  I expect a similar quality game on Tuesday.. although our casualty list grows and grows. No disrespect, but not too many obvious options on the bench today. Didn't seem the type of game to blood young Marcel Lewis in, either.

He was great second half of last season, but I think it's telling when Horgan has been rotating the squad in recent weeks Alfie has remained the one player still named on the bench every game.

Re: St Albans

Another entertaining game, which could have gone either way. Considering we had Fasanmade, McClure and Bradbury standing behind the dugout a draw was a good result against what I thought was a very good footballing side. As for the sending off the linesman on that side was pathetic, he should have flagged and then they probably wouldn't have played on. He didn't even step in when the referee tried to send off the wrong player. Excellent attendance (although it didn't seem that many to me, maybe there were a lot in the bar!)

14 unbeaten (credit to all), we couldn't go unbeaten to the end of the season......could we?

Re: St Albans

Don’t think we are seeing Santos next season. Not being used and couldn’t tell you his last good game.

Missed 3 key attackers today and looked a bit blunt at times -  however had 2 glorious chances today to win the game.

Very cagey game with two good in form sides. Draw was probably a fair result.

We must remember that they are a top 6 side, have been all season, and I I think we have shown that we are a top 6-8 side since the turn of the year. We have recruited well.

Always worried about Hamilton. Moves like an iceberg at times.

Definite red card and despite the errors, it was the correct call. Horrible tackle.

Good summary. St Albans a good side and played well today, they were missing their best striker in Jeffers and it showed.

We are a good side, a very good side on our day and I would agree a draw was fair. SA were happy to take a point after going down to 10 men.

As for Spence, I admire his effort and he puts a shift in but he's not a right-back, and although he does give it a good go, you lose the attacking threat of a modern right-back when he plays there. I can only think that Gary plays him there to shoe horn him in to the team because he's captain, which is a shame because he's a better centre half.

Onwards and upwards with this team. Horgan is the absolute PERFECT man for the job and I can't wait to see what we can do next season.

Re: St Albans

Very competitive game yesterday and a measure of how far the team has come in the last month. St Albans are a good side & they move the ball really well so a decent point yesterday.
Very pleased for Gary & Coupey as after the draw with Concord it was looking pretty grim but the lads have stuck together and this unbeaten run is a great achievement in itself.
Credit to Neil Blackmore for keeping faith with Horgs as other owners may have panicked & tried to replace him.
Onwards and upwards !

Re: St Albans

St Albans are a decent side and the way they started yesterday didn’t bode well for us.  Once we got a foothold in the game though we matched them and some of our football, particularly in the first half was outstanding I thought.  There was one particularly brilliant passage of play where the close control and slick passing matched anything I’ve ever seen from a Chippenham side, so all credit to them.  The St Albans fans seemed happy with the point afterwards, which gives an indicator of how far we’ve come.
6 games to go, 12 points clear of 21st spot with a vastly superior goal difference - job done.
