Rubbish draw really

I'm not so sure about "Rubbish" Bluebird. They have an average League gate this season of c. 2200. We have already earned £5k plus ( £3750 from the 2nd Round win and the guarantee of a minimum of £1250 from the 3rd Round). That means with gate share divided equally between us and TUFC we get a respectable return from the 2 games.. plus a realistic chance of winning.. as Torquay aren't invincible at all. I'm sure they will look upon us as really awkward opponents. Ironically, even as a League 1 club, Burton only get Home gates in the mid 3000s although the prize money and reputational advantage of that scalp is obviously incalculably greater. I'd still take a much more comfortable League position over progress in the Trophy, I'm afraid. With the Weymouth postponement, fixtures continue to stack up.

I dare say there might be a bigger crowd at Torquay than at Burton
