Putting local rivalries aside, I would just like to wish Alex Fletcher all the best and hope he can make a full recovery from the serious injury he sustained at Bath last night.
He is currently stable but in a serious condition in intensive care having crashed headfirst into the advertising boards at Twerton. This highlights that life can be so fragile at times as we've also experienced at Chippenham this year with Pablo.
As stated on the club's twitter feed, I'm sure everyone at Chippenham wishes him a speedy recovery!

Could I also echo Silver’s very kind and sincere thoughts and wish Alex a very speedy recovery from this dreadful accident. Rivalry has nothing to do in situations like this, and I hope CTFC.makes a formal ‘Get Well’ gesture statement as well.
I understand he slid on the floor head first into a concrete wall.
Given what happened with our wall vs Hendon and now this, surely it’s time for the league/FA to insist that concrete walls are removed and replaced with suitable perimeter fencing?
Yes they’ll be a cost but we were lucky no fans/players got hurt and Alex Fletcher clearly wasn’t so lucky.

Not surprisingly, Bath have sensibly postponed their home game against Worthing this Saturday and their Somerset cup game in midweek.

When I first heard about this I immediately thought about the walls that we have around parts of our pitch, only a few feet from the touchlines. Incredible in this day and age. Hope Alex Fletcher makes a full recovery.
