Re: Lincoln City

We should thought really IL that’s my point! My mate is a bracknell fan and they have sold out and only given Ipswich 300. What are we doing wrong( and they have a lot more competition round that neck of the woods

Re: Lincoln City

Smaller ground probably and they’re live on tv on a Monday night - bandwagon jumpers love a live game

Re: Lincoln City

Love a cup run, but realistically this is it. Provided we have a plan and show some intent, i'd be happy. Current form isn't giving me cause for optimism, though to be fair, we could be top of the league and theres still a gulf between the teams that we'd struggle to bridge.

However!  These are the sort of games we gag for as we enter each years cup competition the occasion doesnt get much better than this at our level - its a privilige to get to the first round and the result of some great effort by the team lets go out ( or on... ) with a bang . COYB!

Re: Lincoln City

Well Lincoln’s form going in to this game isn’t outstanding. In the last three: Barnsley(W), Port Vale (L) & Accrington (D). They don’t score many goals, but don’t concede many either. There isn’t much of a rotation of players, the manager has his No.1 GK (strangely subbed tonight). A back three built around Rushworth/Poole/Jackson. They stick with Virtue & Diamond upfront, but I suspect they will put in Mandroiu who seems to be their main goal threat.
Given their League Cup game at Bristol City on Tuesday, they might start with a few players who usually warm the bench?
Can Chippenham get a result? The Chippenham Supporters have a massive part to play; if the team respond to our encouragement then who knows?
Big shout out to Lincoln Supporters making it to Chippenham. I am sure we’ll see you in Town before KO!

The club should publish this and make people aware!

We have the youngest squad in League One, Mark Kennedy has a system that he will not change, we were as  poor at Port Vale as we were excellent at Barnsley.
We have two outstanding centre halves in Jackson and O’Connor, plus a brilliant wing back in Poole making us difficult to beat.
Our problem is further up the pitch as in putting it in the net, we are short of an out and out centre forward, if House plays he will be a hand full for you. Diamond is tricky, but he is on loan from Sunderland so not fully sure if he will be allowed to play.
Whatever team we put out will be very competitive, they are all drilled. in the system, but typically of a team in transition form can be patchy.
As a support we are loud and proud, although with been on an open terrace some of our noise could be dissipated, from been in the open air. We took 1300 to Barnsley for the night game and 690 to Port Vale last weekend, so should hopefully sell our full allocation for Saturday.
Lastly, Rushworth our on loan keeper went off injured on Tuesday with a possible head injury.
sees you all Saturday.
Up the Imps.

Any news on Home ticket sales to date (Thurs) and whether any more will be released to Lincoln?
