    Have resigned from the Western League. Good piece on bbc site re non league clubs going to the wall due to cost of living crisis. Remember going to Bitton quite a few years ago for psf seemed a good little club on the up. Hope they come back stronger but feel they won’t be the last in the present climate.

    Charlie. Thanks for the heads-up on BBC article.  Put in "Cost of Living Crisis Football" into BBC site  and there's a pretty sobering account of a number of Non-League clubs ( including Havant & W) who are struggling with diminished attendances and /or huge energy bill rises plus extra costs for travel , printing etc.  It makes the Cup run even more  timely. I know Bitton AFC a little.  Nice bedrock club.
