Re: Bedford v Bluebirds

Why is everyone talking about relegation, look at the table,

Kettering are doomed as they're 24 points behind us so need to win 8 games just to get even with our current points tally and they've only won 4 games all season, so think it's safe to say they're going down.

Redditch are 9 points behind us so need 3 three wins just to get level with us so while it might be tight there's very little chance of us going down so stop trying to stir things up Cooky and it you want to revew old acquaintances at Taunton I'm sure they'd welcome another supporter.

Re: Bedford v Bluebirds

Corner flag put your rise tinted glasses on like all the others. We could easily go down, I honestly think we will better off if that happens. start again and hope the current board disappear and get some fresh faces rather than the usual 'yes' lot

Re: Bedford v Bluebirds

Given the current decimation of most people's income I would be surprised if there is a queue of people waiting in the wings to pump money into the club. Hence I think we should be grateful to those who are currently putting their hands in their pockets.

Re: Bedford v Bluebirds

Cooky do you really believe we would be better off going down? ARE YOU MAD if that happened no one would even consider joining the board let alone attracting new players.
I am grateful for the people putting their hands in their pockets but some of the decisions they have made are laughable and you only need to look at the state of some of the facilities to know that a awful lot more money is needed.
Crowds are down and our current average gate of 330 odd looks like going down even more. Where are the initiatives to get more people through the gates, fundraising for new permanent facilities not portacabins that last no more than five years and biggest of all ideas on how us fans can be more involved? Yes Nathan there is a very big feeling of nagativity here.

Meanwhile, back to the game.  Would always take a point at Bedford beforehand but seems we were unlucky not to hold on.  Worrying that Harris got himself sent off again - not sure how many games he'll miss but we could do without that.

Re: Bedford v Bluebirds

I agree we should be very grateful to those who put their own money into the club to keep it going. But in terms of fundraising etc there doesn't seem to be much communication between the board and the fans. It is a matter that was raised months and months ago on the old forum that there seems to be little information that comes out of the club not only on how you can help the club but also on the playing front. For example, and I expect someone will me point me in the right direction, but here we are on Monday and nothing on the club website about Saturday's game. Haven't got a clue what the team was which is something most fans like to know. Also there seems to be little or no notification of Chippenham Park games. I've been down to one but knowing it was on was by sheer luck. Might not charge to get in but by letting people know there is a game on helps get them into a routine of going down to the ground and even spending a pound or two in the bar. Didn't know there was a game on on Saturday so went to Mangotsfield instead just for a game to watch. As an aside Lamb, Gullit and Sawyer all played. Sawyer steady enough but wouldn't say either Lamb or Gullit stood out.
As far as the club website is concerned I appreciate it takes someone's time to keep it up to date and this isn't meant as a criticism but unless it does the job of communicating to the fans then might as well shut it down.
