Thats right Reg, I remember we were getting crowds of 700 on a regular basis against the likes of Crawley and Tamworth. I regularly see supporters who used to go but haven’t been for a long time. They say they have other things on but keep tabs on the results. I guess a winning team will always bring back the floating fans whatever level we play at. Maybe as well the club needs to be more visible in the community.. we have 3 large secondary schools, numerous primary schools. U only have to go to Stanley Park on a Sunday to see the amount of kids, boys and girls playing as well as parents watching.

Think a lot of kids go to Melksham after they have had their training etcetera on site. Would have been the same for us if we had been able to decamp to Stanley Park.

We should be getting bigger gates.
Not sure what more we can do to entice people to the ground.

Promote it, advertise, social media etc..
Community day, fans day etc..
We should be promoting the club at the Man U game.
Bet we do nothing.
None of my mates know that u16’s go free with a paying adult so I doubt the rest of Chippenham do.
We used to see disturb lists in shop windows but nothing now.

Attendance wasn't great granted but those of us there were treated to probably the most entertaining game of the season. Yet again we seem to beat the good teams and lose to the crap ones- thought we didn't stand a chance today after seeing the size of them and watching us lump it for the first 20 minutes but we started playing some lovely football (the red card did help a bit) and got the result. Jordan Young quite rightly stealing the show again but thought Gunner and Russe the unsung heroes today, playing through the Dartford press brilliantly and defending well.
Amazing what we are doing this season regardless of a few poor spells with a squad of about 12 first team players and the rest from the academy.

Do we promote these games? other than the board outside the ground.
I suspect most in the town don't know what the opposition is and what our league position is.
Club Needs to improve on this front.
I read/seen plenty of promotion about the Man U game but don't the same for a league game.
Great result to mind
Wellard are you available to help promote these games. If posters where made available are you going to walk the town centre and put in all of the shops. I’m sure the club would welcome your help !!

Agree with previous posts, club way behind others on that front,we should have someone doing community work, schools, colleges and local clubs etc. Lot of match day hangers-on, selling tickets, stewards, kit men it's a situation that needs addressing urgently if we are to push on.

Yes, I’d help. Get printing Richard. But the club never asks for help.

What a great performance from the boys , with some great football and goals . Agree with comments on Gunner and Russe , you can still get the ball down and play football with those boys in the middle and you also get that protection with their engines and passion . Again keeping the ball on the ground and managing the game better than we have done in the last 4 to 5 games , then that’s what you get .
Well done to all

What people probably forget is both Gunner and Russe are 22 (as is Young ), so still young lads . Hopefully they will progress and improve further with more experience. I think the squad is quite a young squad for this level. Yesterday definitely was a team performance, with everyone contributing. I think Cookie and the rest of the staff have done a great job this season. To go into the last stage of the season still with a chance of the play offs is a great place to be. Well done everyone.
