They are based in Devizes (and latterly Trowbridge) and hence don’t give a zx#£ about Chippenham. For a town a third of the size of Chippenham, Devizes receives an inordinate amount of general coverage. As for football we must be the only team in the National Leagues whose local paper doesn’t send a reporter to matches and relies on hearsay for their meagre coverage.

Concord started this game albeit one game ahead of us in 3rd and deservedly so taking big results from big games. At home today, they would have been expecting that result the other way round and had it happened we couldn’t have grumbled much. Instead we rock up, 3 goals, 2 from open play, Marlon scores his 3rd of the season and we go home with 3 massive points and up to 4th. Getting these points early could be crucial as no one wants to be scrapping for points at the other end of the season. As for momentum and what a decent start can bring. Hungerford last year? Bang average squad and were cruising towards the playoffs on sheer believe, togetherness and squad unity. All the things we are oozing at the moment!
