    Cirencester

    I see through images on social media that the team train at Cirencester Town currently, using their artificial pitch.

    Seems a shame that club can't currently train in the town. Do we know if this is simply a geography thing so the players don't have to travel as far during the pandemic?

    Forest Green use Stanley Park as their base, it seems frustrating that we aren't able to use an EFL standard facility that is on our doorstep.

    They train up at Stanley Park in the summer for  pre-season but on the grass. Maybe the floodlight 3/4g is not available?

    I believe Stanley Park is owned by Chippenham Town Council, surely priority should be given to local clubs, unless FGR have a long contract. As a council tax payer funding the local council I hope Chippenham Town FC have not been frozen out.

    I know we started training on the grass at Stanley Park in pre season and I know that we have also used the all weather pitches at Beversbrook Calne, I am reliably informed we have also trained at Chippenham rugby club.  Training at Cirencester maybe our only option, it will also help Cirencester Towns playing budget as I doubt it’s cheap to hire out a full pitch. Such a shame we cannot sort out training in our own town, who’s upset the council ?

    Nothing about priority. FG train in the day so wouldn’t impact us.
    It’s youth football that use it at night. Although it’s closed at the moment, so assume that’s the issue.
