First of all a big thank you to Neil and all those who worked so hard to get this game on and the fans in .I felt that the organisation on match day was good and I thought most people in attendance kept to the rules, of course you always get some who don't think the rules apply to them, just go to your local supermarket. As this was the first game I've seen live it took a little time to work out who was who as the team was totally different from the last time I saw them. As for the game I thought we played well and defended brilliantly for the hour with ten men, just thought we still lacked a bit of pace front . Both sendings off were fully justified. Despite the goal in my opinion Puddy was my man of the match making some brave and important saves.

In my opinion both red cards were incidents where a yellow could have been given instead. It seemed to me that the Bath players' reaction to what definitely was a bad tackle influenced the referee into pulling out the red and with a few minutes to go he evened up the player count by sending one of theirs off. Other opinions are available.

Either I have changed or the world had but, I find myself constantly agreeing with Wellard!!
The club has literally broke sweat and toiled day and night to get into the position we could welcome back supporters. Sadly you can never please everyone and as I’ve always said, complaints are easier to hear than praise.
I wonder if all of these complaining about people not wearing masks or social distancing have gone to the appropriate powers that be and volunteered their services as a steward for the next game, god willing it takes place!
Great work being done around the club and I for one can only see the club getting stronger even during the most adverse times! COYB xx

Yes have to agree that the club have done really well to get football back to The Park. A big well done to Jason and Neil especially for making this happen. I enjoyed the game and it felt good to be back. Got to agree the Bath players reaction was out of order but almost part of the modern game these days. There must have been all 10 of there outfield players pushing and shoving our players and man handling the ref. And screaming at him to produce the red card, which he eventually did. Generally though I thought the ref on the whole did pretty well in a difficult game to ref. But once you use the red for what could and probably should have been a yellow he was under pressure for the rest of the game to level things up. Which he inevitably did. Shame it wasn’t a little earlier. I thought Bath used the extra man really well and totally dominated until they got the equaliser. I think then they took there foot off the gas and allowed us to back into the game. It’s almost as if a point was ok for them. Puddy was outstanding and Parselle and Harrison were not far behind him for the man of the match. Well done to the whole squad. Management team. And the board. Without a crowd at the Park today that would have been a game which we lost. Looking forward to round two New Year’s Day. 😎

Even more appreciative now of the Boxing Day match - looks like that might well be the only game this season we get to attend.
We could and should get a result at Twerton based on how we played and the fact that Bath had to play (and lost) Hungerford in between

Unfortunately I think you are right, appears so much work done for one game that only 500 attended. No crowd looks more like the norm now, Twerton Park would have have been rocking especially the away end when we walk away with the three points against a tired Bath team who are not the Bath of the past couple of seasons, that coupled with our positivity I will go for three one away win.
