Sounds like we had a few breaks at Bideford, every team needs a bit of luck to turn things around.

I fear we need more than luck to turn this round if todays display is any thing to go by.Passing to a player wearing a blue shirt would be a good start!.
Sorry to be negative but this was one of the poorest displays i have seen over the last few years, let us hope that it can be turned round soon if not then the crowds will evaporate even more

Creakey what game did you watch ??? I thought we were good and had all the pocession but couldn't turn it into goals ! Entertainment value was good and the boys tried to pass the ball on a difficult pitch . Johns in goal only made one save and hardly touched the ball so I don't understand where your coming from. Mistake by Ashley gifted them a goal but come on we're playing a lot better football than last year. Keep going lads your luck will change soon and we will hit some team 4 or 5 .

I must agree with Creaky, that was abysmal, the worst football I have seen a Chip side play for years.
If we cannot beat a poor, negative, irritating side like Bedworth, there is something seriously wrong. How many times were we off side from set pieces, if a forward cannot look along the line and stay on side, until the ball is kicked, it is basics. Their keeper did not have a shot to save.
We resorted to long balls again. Attendances will not improve on performances like that.
I hope we can turn around it as I have a lot of time for Rudgie and Rich. Ashley trying to dribble out of own half and giving the ball away was poor, we do not look a balanced side at all. Now Rudgie has a hamstring injury, we could have needed Fortune to stay.

Andy, what game were you watching ???? That was an awful display, if you thought otherwise can only assume you were in the bar enjoying it's various delights.
Entertainment value was nil and as for passing the ball around, yeah to a Bedworth player. We reverted to the tactic we played last season of knocking it long and hoping. Neither goalkeeper was overworked so your point about John is invalid. We don't look a team, look like too many are there for the money alone.
Is the squad united behind Rudgey and Rich, first Lye misses the Gloucester game because of a wedding then Tyrone takes his girlfriend out for a meal instead of playing Tuesday night, hardly the committment I'm sure they want.
Rudgey's hamstring migth be a blessing, it'll allow him to see the side without him and hopefully address the issues we have. Hopefully the pressure will be off as they're away for the next few weeks and results will improve, it not, it could be a long winter...

Another dire display that was only marginally better than the dross we witnessed against Sholing. Finding it harder by the game to feel any positivity, why play the long ball when we have players that threaten defenses whenever they go on runs. We have 3 good forwards and some decent wingers what we need is a centre back and a attacking central midfielder. I am living in hope for a tory style u-turn following Nathans comments in the Gazette this week, hopefully the hamstring problem will force him into dipping into the market. I just hope that funds are available after hearing that the attendance was just 286. Could be the winter of our discontent.

First 20 minutes I thought we tried to play football and Griff was very unlucky with his downward volley that bounced up over the bar - but I always had the feeling that one mistake and we'd be punished. The back four thought they were Barcelona all of a sudden and the ball gets passed from left to right, ending up with Ash and the the rest is history. Without Ballinger (who was away on Futsal duty) we expected Scott Lye to bomb up and down the right. That's not his game - he should be where Rogers is imho - so we weren't balanced. Fair play to them for keeping going and salvaging a point, but with three away games coming up it doesn't fill me with a lot of confidence.

Andy, your rose tinted glasses must surely need a good clean after that performance. It's worrying when the manager states that its all about getting a result. WRONG, us fans would like to be entertained as well, this is why the attendances are falling at an alarming rate. I know we beat Bideford on Tuesday, all be it a side who are third from bottom, but from supporters I spoke to who made the trip it was a dire game. We are so one dimensional, the only plan that I can see is launch it up to Griff. Our passing is poor and set pieces shocking, why does the corner taker be changed? Guthrie could'nt beat the first man all afternoon. Poor Scott Lye is out of position on the right wing. A few people I know have watched Chippenham Park and the comments I hear is at least they play it on the ground. Maybe Rudgy should watch them !

relegation the cheap option
