Yes we were beaten 0 -1, but this was decent performance. We dominated the second half with Scott Rogers and Adie Harris controling the midfield, there goal keeper made two great second half saves to preserve there lead. The ref disallowed Alan Griffins first half goal, which both he and the linesman were happy to give, until a huge protest from there keeper and some of there deffenders, typicaly he caved in and bottled it, for which he later apologised to Griff for his mistake. There players really celebrated the final whistle, they knew they were very lucky to get away with the win.In the bar after the game it was summed up by there keeper receiving the man of the match award and there secetary addmitting they had been very luky.We were very very poor against Sholing last week, but very very unlucky to come away from Leamington pointless. When your down everything goes against you. Our luck will change hopefully Tuesday night at Bideford.

Must have been someone else posing as me then, as I certainly didn't admit anything of the sort.
as for the "goal" Your forward was flagged for offside for which the referee acknowledged and allowed play to continue as the advantage would be with us. As soon as the goalkeeper put the ball down, the same forward went for the ball and scored.
So a) the offside position he was in counts, and B) the advantage has obviously gone, The correct decision has been made.
The fact the referee signalled an indirect free kick for the offside decision proves this.
Also, shall we mention the ball straight across your box that should have got on the end of, the inside of your post being hit and cleared off the line? We should have been 3 up at half time!
True you came back into it in the 2nd half but I can still see 3 clear chances were we could and should have scored.
All the best for the rest of the season.

Heard Rudgie on the radio, apparently Egan and Fortune have left. Is it any coincidence its happended now that we are out of the cups? Did'nt think Fortune was given much of a chance, with him being cup tied and there not being many league games in the time he was with us. On his performance against us for Mangotsfield he looked the strong centre half we needed. Egan had a decent game against Gloucester and looked promising, he's gone to Weston (just like Stearn). Its the same old story, when the squad needs tweaking its always the new players who are the first to go, the established few are untouchable. This also happened under Mingsy. Attendances are going down, now we are lucky for an attendance of over 300, 2 years ago 450 would of been poor. The club will always have the 250 or so hardcore fans , this is not enough if we are ever going to go up. I know its a catch 22 situation, without a winning team the floating support will not come back and this costs. At the start of the season it looked like we were going for it with the signings of Phillips and Rogers, but now its midtable at best.

Well said Swayne Close. Another worry for me is the attitude of the team, we always seem intent on blaming other things for our performances and to witness Lee Phillips once again having a go at the bench and his team mates strikes me as a problem that needs sorting out. No surprise in hearing about Egan & Fortune jumping ship but it will be interesting to see if we are in a position to get the commanding central defender that is obviously needed. A draw would have been a fairer result but I am very very worried for the remainder of the season, we promised so much at the start but we are certainly not on target. I know that the team and management are working their arses off to turn the season around and try and compete with some of the bigger spending clubs in this league.

I can't believe we came away pointless ! We were by far the better side especially in 2nd half and what a great save made from ballingers header. I'm not worried at all with this season , 2 wins at bideford and home to Bedworth puts us around the play offs and I still think we will be there or thereabouts. Again the club is going through a transitional period and we still have a long way to go. As for Lee Phillips I would expect better from a ex pro . It seems to me nothing is his fault and if ever anyone says anything to him or asks him to make a run he swears or haves a almighty go back . Even lye Mings and the dugout were on the end of it and needs to be sorted out because he hasn't learnt from the Frome game. I hope it does get sorted because he is a good player but I do question his attitude and thinks he knows best . Anyway lets get 3 points Tuesday and get our season rolling .

Careful, any hint of criticism/realism and you'll have Jono or Andy after you
Did Fortune really stand much of a chance when Rudgey decided to pull on his boots again, Egan is a loss, thought he had potential, just needed game time. Be interesting to interesting to see what happens to Phillips, mouthing off at the bench, again.

This is a long term project and we do have a relatively inexperienced management duo but I'm becoming fed up of reading how unlucky we've been and that it's a mistake from the lino or ref that's cost us, just hope we manage to establish some run of form to get us away from the bottom.
Fingers crossed for Tuesday.....
