Hope you will excuse a plug for the annual Chippenham Comedy Festival, normally held in the Old Road Tavern barn but this year it will be an entirely online version over this Summer Solstice weekend.

Organised by local town comedian (and barber!) Wil Hodgson, the comedy club and the annual festival was also one of  the late great club stalwart "Football" Dave Johnson's other passions in life.

All profits going to the Old Road Tavern to help them survive the lockdown, which is one of the favourite pubs for supporters home and away due to its proximity to the train station and the lovely little beer garden. £16.76 gets you two evenings of entertainment and if you can't watch live the acts will be recorded to be viewed later with your online ticket. A few really good acts over the 2 days and some quite well-known people (eg Simon Donald who created 'Viz' and Robin Ince of 'Infinite Monkey Cage)
