Grant Horton

Club just signed Grant Horton, all I can find out is he's a defender from Cheltenham Town.

Re: Grant Horton

A bit old though. Cheltenham Town's website has him being born in 1901

Re: Grant Horton

I think this is going to be one of those signings that we all enjoy. Grant is absolute lightning on legs, incredibly quick and strong in the tackle, an absolute nightmare for strikers to play against. As mentioned has spent quite a large amount of time on loan at the lower levels but has made his EFL debut for Cheltenham but, without meaning to put a dampener on things, Horton was a 93rd minute substitute for Sean Long with the game 3-0 to Cheltenham against Mansfield.

With Will missing for what looks like at the very least a couple of months, with the experience of McDonald and the qualities of Kieran Parselle, this is a signing that is going to allow for options at the back and flexibility in the way we seek to play. In recent week we have been sort of a five at the back with wing backs getting up and down the flank and Horton certainly allows us to play in that style with his pace which will prove almost invaluable on the cover.

Welcome to the real CTFC Grant I hope you enjoy your stay with us.

Re: Grant Horton

Sounds as though he is well thought of and going through the leagues at a pace, real test for him at our level mind you. Must have one of the youngest squads in the league. Come back Griff and Coupie

Re: Grant Horton

Very young side at the moment, just need a little experience to place around the talented youth players we have in the squad and I would be very surprised if we don't kick on from here to something much better for ourselves this season. I cannot wait for Saturday, after not making the trip to Maidstone it feels like almost forever since I have been to football!!
