I think it is absolute madness how this hasn't already been addressed. It is a bit of a long running joke up in the bar and many, like Hobgoblin will see this unfold every week where me and my friends will attempt to ironically pay by card. It's met with a sort of mute response as if to say isn't the joke getting old. Sadly for us the joke is that we cannot use 21st century methods at the club. TFT is totally right in what he is saying, whilst we don't embrace the changes in the world we risk being left behind and the last thing we want or need is for the club to suffer because it is stuck in it's tracks. Perhaps (and this is not a knock) this could stem from a need for educating in the ways of modern technology and the world as it is today in this form. Clubs at this level can tap your card at turnstiles and pay admission, you can pre-order drinks before arrival through apps, order your food through a text service at some stadiums, go online and order your tickets and pay for them at a discounted rate simply by clicking a button on the website. These are all available to Chippenham. Fingers crossed that enough noise is made by the people it affects enough for something to be done about it.

That’s absolutely criminal from the Gazette and Herald! I wonder if we get the result we are craving and Chippenham scalp a league football club they will be interested then?
It hardly seems that long ago they were so all over Chippenham, cardboard cut outs of the manager were appearing left right and centre holding a publication of the Gazette! Did we upset them somehow? Or maybe we aren’t as big news as we thought we were?
Funnily enough, we did upset them a bit back in 2000, although I'm not suggesting it's the reason we now seem to be off their radar. Our CTFC Union Jack flag, much to their annoyance, used to get hung over their advertising board behind the goal. Worse still, was when the Gazette's advertising banner at the front of the open top bus, was obscured by the same flag.
That said, the newspaper is no where near as good as it used to be.

Great news for the club, I’m informed it’s worth 12.5k to be on the highlights show. Fantastic times at Chippenham Town.
