Lots of rumors about these players, does anyone know what is happening to them. If they are still with the club and fit why weren't they on the bench on Saturday. Frankly the bench was a joke a reserve keeper and the coach named as subs, so very little options to change things around on the pitch or cover injuries. Come on" Voice " you appear to know everything that's going on, share it with the rest of us.

That is probably why no subs were made.

I know no more than anyone else Mr Hobgoblin, as a frequent poster, I simply keep the forum up to date as best I can with information that comes directly from club sources such as Twitter and the Club Website as I know this is a first port of call for a lot of supporters. As such, I can only go on the same things that you have heard, rumours going around regarding certain players. Until a time that the football club confirms or denies anything, my opinion would simply be that. Cannot believe I have to put a disclaimer down that the views of the Voice do not reflect those of the football club or any of it's associates ;)
It's no secret that the squad is threadbare but guys this is football at the non league level. This is why I am in such defence of MC and the Management Team. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Early in the season when we have a full and fit squad, we are rotating and getting players minutes and freshening up week on week. This was met with some responses of "Collier doesn't know his best team" "We won't achieve anything with a lack of consistency" and so on. Now we are a few players light. The team from Saturday I would say 6 or more of those players have started or featured heavily in the last five games in which we are unbeaten and now people are calling for depth in the squad. "Why are we unable to make subs" "Why do we have a reserve goalkeeper and a coach on the bench"
Personally I think we all pay our money, we all have a right to an opinion. It's the managers job to manage and if there were no substitutions made on Saturday, we can only judge that decision by the result. The last five game have yielded 2 wins, 3 draws and 0 defeats. It's evident the switch to 4-4-2 and playing with more width is working with Chambers, Ossei and Guthrie when available coming into their own a little and allowing Zeb, Jarv and Hops more of a route to goal. This is again evident in the fact that in the last five game we haven't failed to score less than 2 in every outing.
Big players are missing through injury that again is unfortunate but these are not full time footballers, they do not have the access to the best recovery in the game and sadly injuries will play a part in a season in the National League South for a part time team. And we aren't blessed with the luxury of just going out and signing players. We talk about loans, loans still cost money, clubs are seldom likely to allow players to walk out of the club for however long with a restitution and the budget simply isn't there to do so. Unless we want to have another whip round, we can only work with what the board has to work with.
5 games unbeaten and a huge game against Slough coming up, a game that if we win, we pocket the best part of £12,000 for our troubles and you can be certain that would make a huge difference in terms of that budget! So let's all get on the same page, get behind the gaffer and his choices, roar the team home to a big win on Saturday and look forward to (hopefully) another chance at making the 1st Round.
In Collier We Trust. 6 and a half years, picked us up off the foot of the Southern League, won the Southern League, consolidated in the National League South and for those feats alone, has earned the right to be backed in situations like this..
