Re: Josh Smile

Josh Smile departs: Josh Smile completed his move to Maidenhead United this evening.

Mark Collier said “ Smiler was offered a improved deal with us, unfortunately we couldn’t match the Maidenhead offer, Josh had a very good season and deserves the opportunity to play in the National Conference, he was a pleasure to have around and was very popular in the dressing room” “He departs with our very best wishes “

Re: Josh Smile

Obviously disappointed that Josh has moved on to Maidenhead, but with the season he has just had with us, he must have caught Maidenhead's eye when we played them in the FA Cup, and I guess they have been watching him since then. The Voice posted earlier about a replacement for McDonald ? Has he left the club does anyone know, as in my view that will an equally big loss as Smiler departing ? An up-dated retained or re-signed list from the club would help no end.

Sad to see Smiler go, was my man of the season. All the best Josh for the future.

Re: Josh Smile

Yes, a shame Josh has gone but no great surprise really. He deserves the chance to play at a higher level. Any good young players we get are always going to be in the shop window. I think most would agree we desperately need a tall, strong midfielder so hopefully Mr Collier and co. can work their magic and get someone in that fits the bill, whether permanent or on loan.
