Chelmsford

Not sure if anyone has seen but Concord have been told they can't compete in the playoffs. So the team that finishes 4th place, currently Chelmsford would go straight into the playoffs.

5th place is Bath City...

Re: Chelmsford

Thought the play ofs were from team in 2nd to team in 7th place, as per last season, so on my reckoning Chelmsford and Bath are already in the play offs.

They're already in the playoffs yeah. But they'll need to win today to secure 4th which means they'll automatically qualify for the semi.

Re: Chelmsford

Last game of season and very little comment on forum.  Just watched the highlights and as thought by every one in the ground apart from the officials it was hand ball by the scorer.  Another disappointing performance and sadly we did not test their  keeper once, no improvement on last year.  Last quarter of season apart from Torquay game very poor, not helped by a shocking pitch, needs major work in the close season.. I have renewed my season ticket for next year but it was touch and go, need a lot of changes in playing staff.  Good to see Josh pick up the player of the season award from the fans, well deserved.

Re: Chelmsford

You're right there's not a lot to say, their goalie could have stayed at home. It sums up our performance when McCootie gets man of the match for one shot off target and falling over a lot.
As Mark said post match we need experience players as well as the up and coming youngsters. To do this some of the current squad will have to depart. I expect you all have candidates to be shown the door. One thing I will say if we can keep our back four that would be good. Shame Davis is going back.

Re: Chelmsford

Our budget is being cut too, thanks to the injuries of high-earners and ground/pitch improvements.

I think next season will be tough. Big summer ahead.

Re: Chelmsford

Have to agree with manager with his post match comments, league stronger this year, and with our long list of injuries we again have been more than competitive. Top 12 would have all be back financially very well.  Keep the back 4, Rutty Richards McDonald Parselle Tariq Rigg Davies, imagine we may see some movement.4 big clubs coming down, Weymouth and Dorking both strong including another4g pitch. I'm happy could be Truro or Weston. Well done Josh  even though I voted Parselle.

Re: Chelmsford

Important to keep spine of team Puddy, Richards, tindle, Evans Jarvis. And would build around that. Always need utility players who can play in more than one position so the likes of Parselle Rigg  and Guthrie would be high on my list too. Also a game changer who can find a killer pass like smile although he’s been quiet of late. Would keep rutty and dual reg him somewhere to get game time for his development. The rest don’t scream out at me so would be willing to let them go.

Re: Chelmsford

Would like McDonald added to that list, Chambers and big Nick 50/50. Yan and Comton have to go.
