Torquay @ Home

So the day is nearly upon us, I hope the 1900 odd Chippenham fans have all got their tickets in preparation for arguably our biggest home game of the season and the only time I feel we will play Torquay here. Hopefully a great day all round. Team coming in off a big performance against Dartford, Torquay coming in after very well earned party that hopefully the hangover will last just a little bit longer than usual and of course a big atmosphere feel at Hardenhuish Park always makes for a good note. Let's have this lot, start of the season we took so many down to Plainmoor and those that came had a fantastic away day, hopefully Torquay will get the same and their trip to HP will be one remembered for all the right reasons.

This just shows how far this club has come over the past few years, hopefully many more to follow the Chairman and board deserve great credit.

Confirmed as a Sell Out on the Football Club Facebook post. Well, can you remember a time there was a sell out at Hardenhuish Park?

Re: Torquay @ Home

The biggest crowd in my lifetime was the Vase semi-final - now that was a proper sell out.  Will be interesting to see how many 'home' tickets have been sold.  Would be surprised if we've shifted 500 but I'd be delighted to be proved wrong.  Not sure what the attendance was at the infamous Bath City derby when the wall collapsed, but got a feeling it was over 2,000?  I'm sure someone will know.

I'm sure the FA Cup game vs Worcester was sold out too? - under 3,000 though.

Re: Torquay @ Home

A huge game for us today. There will be a lot of local people there that don’t usually watch Chippenham. Probably never watched us. So a massive chance for the lads to put on a performance to bring some of them peoples back for a second look at  the team next season. I don’t think Mark and Horgs will need to motivate the lads to much for this one. We will need to match the solidness and togetherness of last week at Dartford  If we can do that I reckon we can get a result today. I would say a few more than Blueboo. 2620.   Good luck to Mark Horgs and the lads let’s put a few smiles on the home supporters faces today.

Let us dream for a minute that we take 6 points off them in this season with the biggest gate. That would restore the smiles

Just saying...

Lovely day to be party-poopers

Re: Torquay @ Home

If you were a part of that incredible atmosphere today pat yourself on the back. Superb club performance today from Neil and the board, security, volunteers, the gaffer, the players and the fans. Special day, good result and that's what it's all about. Well done all of you. Just think if we pulled together like that every week. What a force this club could be.
