Re: Wealdstone

Lets hope we can score a goal or two today, we have not scored for last 3 games.  Perhaps if McCootie and Compton are fit and get a game we might score.  COYB

Re: Wealdstone

The Club has a problem in that there are far too many contract players in the squad. As a consequence the only way to "get rid of players" is to either transfer them to another club or pay off their contract which can be really expensive. Don't forget that contract players get paid irrespective of whether they are playing or out injured. Just look at the number of players who have been out injured for a long time!

Re: Wealdstone

Home and thought we deserved at least a point for the second half display. Compton in a surgical boot,McCootie had two golden chances.

I take the point you're making, and yes, it is a huge financial drain, but presumably at this level most players won't sign without a contract.

Re: Wealdstone

Contracted players are probably only on 1 year deals too. So a big cleanse in the summer might be on the cards.

Re: Wealdstone

Why a big cleanse? Players get injured, agree a difficult period but why cleanse as always a turnover of players
