Re: Bath City (H) - Prediction & Attendance

Compton was terrible when he came on. He's failed to live up to hype unfortunately.

Re: Bath City (H) - Prediction & Attendance

Good crowd size at 1455 - I imagine the club will be pleased about that at least

Shame to concede yet again immediately after the opponents go down to 10 men. Do we relax and switch off briefly whereas they step up a gear?

Where is Rigg? And is the new lad a loanee

Re: Bath City (H) - Prediction & Attendance

Yeah - cheers now seen details on twitter. Looks like a good signing (and from my other team before I moved to Chipp.) Welcome Tariq

Search me how Chippenham got anything from that! Same old story; backs against the wall against a quality football side. Town cannot continue to be dominated lake this at home!
Points from today:
1. Brad House is quality and will end up playing higher up the leagues!
2. Said it before; there is no atmosphere at Hardenhuish Park.
3. Play like that at Twerton and they'll get smashed!

I really hope you were a contributor to that Shit atmosphere otherwise you're a hypocrite on top of any other glaring flaws. Didn't play incredibly today and should have put them away but against a very strong Bath side to get up early and take something from the game. Positives to go in Hampton.. three points in that game and suddenly Twerton looks a much less daunting task.

Re: Bath City (H) - Prediction & Attendance

Enjoyed the game today although frankly Bath outplayed us just as they did here last year. Different result of course, I was grateful to hear the final whistle and take a point. Very pleased with the attendance, which in my view did create atmosphere, its not all about 90 minutes of chanting from one end or the other!
I believe we are currently a solid mid-table side, nothing more and nothing less, just as our stats W9 D4 L9 GF33 GA33 confirm. Still lots to play for in the second half of the season and I for one will continue to enjoy supporting the team in what is a very good league. (Incidentally I see the cream has risen to the top - difficult to see Torquay and Woking not fighting for the title now).

Re: Bath City (H) - Prediction & Attendance

Agree with last 3 posts, very difficult and hugely competitive division, full time experienced clubs, full time managers and staff, very big playing budgets, manager made a great point of how far we have come, as stated mid table club and absolutely nothing wrong with that, 20 games to go I for one will enjoy the home and occasional away game. Fantastic effort by all at the club, playing Bath in the national league with 1500 in the great old ground. Well done all.

Re: Bath City (H) - Prediction & Attendance

31 points - brilliant for a club like ours in a league at the top of the “non-league” tree, especially when you consider the key players we’ve been missing.  If we finish anywhere near where we are now that’ll be some achievement.  The league will start to stretch out now, with Torquay and Woking looking like they’ll fight it out for top spot.  Yesterdays attendance could well be topped on Good Friday when we host Torquay United in what will probably be the biggest league game in the clubs history.  Plenty to look forward to in the next few months.  15 more points will see us safe I reckon, then we can see how far we can push on.

Re: Bath City (H) - Prediction & Attendance

Anyone notice that the Bath equaliser should have been disallowed because the free kick was taken with the ball in motion? This also was a few seconds after a blatant foul following a throw in was ignored. Despite this we survived several scares so the result was probably fair

Re: Bath City (H) - Prediction & Attendance

First of all I would like to congratulate the Chairman and all the volunteers at the club for putting on a well organised match.
Got to agree with most of the comments previously posted on the game. Two evenly matched teams with just 3 points between us, just a couple of things I would like to highlight. Nick ran his heart out in the first half but no longer has the legs to last 90 minutes. As soon as Chambers came on his pace was causing Bath's defenders all sorts of trouble which lead to the sending off, so maybe start with him and use Nick as an impact sub. Secondly this is the second time recently that we have conceded against 10 men, what happens do we mentally switch off and get caught out.
So 3 points on Saturday and hopefully 3 on Tuesday, would settle for 1, would see us set fair for the second half of the season.
