Sorry but sending off was right in front of me, correct decision. Took the lad out with a knee high tackle after he lost the ball . Sands, Beeden all agreed with the ref.
Was it his fault we lost the game....no, he wouldn’t have prevent their goal but we were centainly on top before the sending off.

Got to disagree with you there Wellard. It was a bad tackle, but every week I see worse than that go totally unpunished. Espesially away from home. Guthrie now has a reputation and refs are clamping down hard on him. He's getting sent off for what other players are getting Yellow cards for. So proud of the team. So close and yet so far. 😢

Well we'll have to disgree then, were you anywhere near it? Right in front of me, you could almost see the red mist, was knee high and reckless and all of the people around me thought it was red. Sands, Beeden. Horg's was not happy and was chatting to us about it. Senseless in that part of the pitch!!
Agree about Smile thought he was class.
If you had walked in ground as a neutral you couldn't pick which team was in the higher league!!

My heart tells me it's a yellow. My head tells me on reflection that with a referee that biased we needed to be more careful as he was waiting for it

If we had progressed to the next round, there would have been a huge crowd on Saturday, with glory hunters trying to get a ticket for the big match. Now that is not the case, lets hope we still get a large crowd, to back the players and Management, for the rest of the season.

As I was unable to get to the game I followed it on twitter. Looked like we were unlucky not to get a result. Very disappointed but not surprised that local radio decided to run a commentary on Swindon's league game and not possibly Chippenham's most game in a decade.
Lets hope for a good reaction from the lads on Saturday and wipe Tuesday's disappointment from their minds with a big result against Thurrock.

Ridiculous comment. Should be happy with the extra support for the club and every one has to start supporting some where, if its an FA cup then so be it. I don't think anyone turning up to a non league game can be classed as glory hunters!

On reflection, im going to apologise to James Guthrie, as he didnt cost us the game. For certain he made it more difficult, but he'll have woken this morning knowing that. He's put in enough decent performances to warrant his place, so i'll let the manager manage, and i'll do what i should have done and congratulate them on a gut busting performance and commiserate with Mark, Horgs and all for the result.
And i wouldnt worry about glory hunters. Its why most of us post 1999 ended up here in the first place - We just enjoyed it and stayed.
