Re: Highworth Town

Some ball boys would have been useful. Players in a cup final shouldn't have to go clambering over perimeter advertising hoardings to search through rows of empty seats to try and find the ball. That aside, it was a decent match, and although Highworth Town never really threatened us, they did make a game of it.

Re: Highworth Town

Enjoyed the game, pretty routine really. Good following from us.

Re: Highworth Town

Finished off the season nicely, a decent performance against quite a few ex bluebirds. A good following who made some noise. Enjoy the summer and World Cup (if that’s possible watching England, fingers crossed), ready for ANOTHER season in National League South.

Re: Highworth Town

Just seen that Highworth have been promoted to the Southern league, Southern Prem looks completely different and there for the taking with the split divisions.

Re: Highworth Town

Presume these leagues are provisional. Interesting understanding of geography from the fa. Cinderford placed in southern league EAST, whilst Didcot put in southern league WEST!

Re: Highworth Town

Highworth have done well to get promoted - finished in third spot, 10 points behind second place Bracknell.

Southern League East is just a misnomer really.  Midland or Central would be more accurate as Evesham, Corby, Bromsgrove, North Leigh etc are in that division too.  Putting my anorak away now.

Re: Highworth Town

On closer inspection, South Prem looks short if big clubs. Weak league.

Due to a bizarre chain of events Cinderford have been moved to SL West. Andover Town refused promotion meaning the step 5 side with the next best record would be promoted. That proved to be AFC Mansfield, who have been placed in the Northern Premier League East. That had a knock on effect for four clubs being moved to a parallel league including Cinderford!
