I feel sorry for Rudgie, and at least when we were 4-1 down, he tried to turn it around by taking off Lambie and going three at the back.
The central defenders are not big enough, can Lambie play centre back? We need someone who can dominate like Rudgie used to do.
I am afraid the goal keeper is not quite this standard requires, apart from Snoddy and the keeper who went to Salisbury we have not filled that position adequately. Dave Gilroy is not up to this standard now either, was surprised when he was in the squad this season.
Good luck to Adie for the future.
Roll on the Mangos next Saturday, we need another win. We all thought the good win over Cambridge was a decent win, but the next game they lost 5-0 at home and look where they are in the league, that win was probably a false hope.

It would be wrong of me to pass any comment about the team's performances, as to my shame I haven't seen any games yet this season, but to expect Rudgie in his first season to succeed in gaining promotion, where Tommy Saunders, Steve White, Darren Perrin and Adie Mings, all failed, was always going to be bit of a tall order. After all of the pre-season hype, it might already be time to lower our expectations.

Very good point, well made.

Absolute shambles against an ordinary Hitchin side
If we were an ordinary side and can score 4 goals inside the first 30 minutes after gifting you penalty in the 2nd minute, I dread to think how many you would have conceded against a decent side.
Your defence may have been awful but a little credit please.

So do I.

I see in Gazette & Herald this morning that Chipp have signed a new keeper from Gloucester City.
Conor Thompson father used to play in goal for Chip 2002-3 season.
Lets hope what we are looking for.
