It has not been the start we all wanted, but apart from mondays game at Frome ,which { I hate to say } the best team won,we have been the better side,we should have Nine points and not Four. Saturday wont be easy, but if we are to achieve anything this season we must beat teams like Hitchin at home. Im confident,Ill say 2 - 1 to the bluebirds. Good luck ladds.

Sadly I'm unable to be there this afternoon but I'm afraid your predicition is a little out. Still, 45 mins to go, you could win 5-4

Great start then it all fell apart, with all 4 goals coming down the left side of defence. Absolute shambles against an ordinary Hitchin side. Pathetic. We need a big nasty defender who can organise, a keeper and a left back for starters, otherwise we are in the deepest do-do. Good job it's only two going down this season. Next weeks FA Cup game v Mango looks massive now, if it wasn't before. Rant over.
Good luck to Mingsy in his new job as Chelsea's scout for 12-16 year olds in the south west. Or is he looking for 12- 16 year old scouts who support Chelsea? Either way he's done a great job at Chippenham over the years and I wish him all the very best.

Abysmal. 1-4 at halftime, they scored evry chance they had - back4 and goalie too casual and asleep. Nobody in midfield getting foor on the ball. Griff off injured with a groin strain just before the break. Rudge audible above the PA going absolutely crazy at the them in the dressing room while praise heaped on Adie and CTYFC on the pitch during the break. 2nd half much better but thats hardly a compliment! Anyone fancy the vacant director of football job - we need the help!

With all due respect I question whether we need a Director of Football.

Tend to agree, what exactly is their role, all it would need is a phone call between the reserves manager and Rudgey regarding any players who are considered worthy of first team involvement, even if that's just training.
Good luck Mingsy, look forward to seeing Chelsea in pre season.
As for today...another shambles at the back starting with the keeper. It's not good enough to sign a keeper because "he's got a good kick" he also has to be able to stop the ball, something ours is incapable of doing.
Agree with the posts above, a new keeper, a commanding centre half and a striker as a minimum. Gilroy was a good player but isn't worthy of a starting place now.
Too early to be calling for Rudgey's head especially as it was generally agreed that we had a tough start to the season but how long will the board let things continue especially if we slip up on Saturday....

Another year without a chance of promotion, maybe relegation would be the cheaper option.

Am I alone in thinking that the DF would support the fledgeling manager? Good luck to Mingo in his new role, but it seems even this early that Rudgie has been cast adrift. 13 goals conceded already in a team that looked half decent on paper just 4 weeks ago. Though once again we are seeing how tight this Southern League is with only two teams unbeaten at the end of August. I anticipate10th downwards will be looking over their shoulders until April, that doesn't help us, but it's the way this league is shaping up.

It was meant to be tongue-in-cheek about the Director of Football...
We are bottom of the table in terms of goals conceded. Says it all.
Maybe our keeper's positioning isnt always right, but I don't think he could stop the shots that came in - the fact is the defence are letting the strikers through and we don't have a controlled outlet from midfield to feed the strikers when we get the ball, or strikers holding the ball up. Late in the second half one of the Hitchin strikers held offf 3 of our players waiting for support - we just dont seem able to do that.
