Should be a good one tomorrow, and hopefully not a repeat of the home game with St Neots. Where we just didn't turn up for the first half. I'm sure Mark and Tom won't allow another performance like that one. Especially with the presentation of the league trophy. St Ives aren't a bad side and have a bit of pace up front, and as been said many times this season there are no givemes in this division. It's a shame Sands has not been fit and on the pitch to enjoy the last few games, because without him I'm sure we wouldn't be in the position we are. The atmosphere Saturday should be made extra special by the large group of our friends from Norway 🇳🇴. Them boys know how to have a good time. Should be good in the bar before the game with a lot of noice. The crowd will be interesting and hopefully somewhere near the attendance of the St Neots game, although some people have said it may be down on that. Hopefully the boys will want to put on a show and finish the season in style. I'm looking forward to Tinds lifting the Trophy. I would think most of the squad will want to be here next season, but there are a few that could step up several levels, and earn a lot more money else where. But hopefully that won't happen. Good luck tomorrow to Mark, Tom and the lads, let's end this great season in style. 😎😎

Another excellent pre-match summary Jono as always, and the last one of the season. I will miss your Friday reviews until we resume again in August in the lofty heights of the National (South) League. I'm still pinching myself that this is not a dream and we have made it to the next level ! Some interesting points here Jono, in particular your thoughts on some of the squad capable of playing at a much higher level. I would tend to agree, but would they ? The squad have had a fantastic season, and I feel most of them would want to stay together and have a crack at finishing as high as possible in the National (South) next term. The Management have been very clever this season, in as much that they have built the nucleus of a National (South) squad already to hit the ground running for next season. With one or two additions, in particular midfield, an extra striker, and a back-up for Darren, my view is we will be somewhere handy. COYMB

To play at a level Higher than Conf South you'd probable have to be full time to have a good crack at it and would therefore require alot more money to off set that. That is a massive decision for anyone with a career/trade playing at our level. But no doubt some are capable of playing for bigger teams than us in the Conf South, Richards, Tindle, Fergie etc.. but other than Bath, Weston, Hungerford most would involve alot more travel for training etc...
So I expect most of the Regular starters to remain with maybe a few benchers to go. hopefully replaced with a few new additions.
Shame we can't keep Andrews

It would be interesting to hear everyone's thoughts on next season? Where we need strengthening in the squad? And thoughts on how well we'll do in the league above?

Step up several levels, that's league one players Jono 😎. Hope to add to the squad as I'm sure we will lose a few non regular starters.Chippenham Town should be a draw for players from surrounding areas, of course money talks though. Players released will be interesting.
