Re: V Stratford Town. Away. Saturday.

I was going by the Stratford Twitter feed with the last one before FT saying...
"8 man Handbags in the corner ends with yellows for Towns Grocott & Sandwell (sic)"

As they couldn't get Andy's name correct then maybe you are right that Dave was booked not Andy

Re: V Stratford Town. Away. Saturday.

That was Guthrie right at the end with the shirt pulling ref should blown earlier he could see the Stratford player wanted a green shirt on.

Re: V Stratford Town. Away. Saturday.

Agree with Stratford, the performance wasn't great but we have resilience, belief and know how. Nuno had one of his best games for us, with baggeridge and Richards doing well against there physical number 9. Pratty again ran himself in the ground and his marker had cramp at the end! Keep going lads WE CAN DO IT.

Re: V Stratford Town. Away. Saturday.

Another great result, by the sounds of it the whole team put in a shift. Lets not worry about what the teams behind do lets just keep winning. Well done Mark and the boys. "  We're Chippenham old boys and we sing when we want."

Re: V Stratford Town. Away. Saturday.

Saw the foul on Pratt and the fine penalty by Sandell on Stratford Town twitter, after the goal Horgan was chatting to the ref as he does and one of our fans shouts "Get back Holgate " Surely not !

Re: V Stratford Town. Away. Saturday.

I went to the game yesterday. It was looking like a draw but all the hard work by Dave Pratt earned us a penalty and ultimately the three points.

The way I, and many supporters, feel now is it doesn't matter how we get the points just as long as we do and it sees us over the line come the end of the season!

It is clear the team are well up for the fight and are clearly a well bonded outfit. As Hobgoblin said it doesn't matter what the teams below us do we just have to focus on our results. There are still plenty of games to go. All I would do is encourage Bluebirds fans to get behind the team both at home AND away games! At this point in the season your support really matters!

Re: V Stratford Town. Away. Saturday.

Let's put Saturday's result into perspective. Yes we won ugly, but at this stage of the season it is those sorts of magnificent team performances that will get us over the line. Last season in similar circumstances, we would have been lucky to come away from Stratford with a point. But this set of boy's are made of sterner stuff, and gradually wore out Stratford on Saturday with attacks down both flanks, and thro' the middle. Pratty and Sands are masters at this, and you visibly see Stratford running out of steam. We are eight points clear because we deserve to be, and I don't subscribe to this argument that the teams below us have games in hand and can catch us up. They have to win them all to do that, and with the chasing pack playing each other over the coming weeks, that looks highly unlikely. I was talking to 2 Kidderminster Harrier supporters who had missed their train connection to get to Chorley for their game, and decided to come to our game instead. Their exact comment was that we are the best attaching side they have so far this season, and light years ahead of anything in the National North !! Considering you have Salford City, AFC Fylde and FC of Manchester in that league, that comment emphasizes what progress we have made, and I hope any casual 'stay at home' Chippenham person reading this post may think 'perhaps I will go and watch CTFC's next home game' We can only hope.  COYMB
