Re: V Kettering Town. Home. This Saturday.

Well that was a hard earned 3 points and we were really under the cosh in the last 10 minutes but again the Bluebirds triumphed. This team have got a taste for winning and even without Sands and Greg they played their hearts out. Jake was unlucky not to get on the score sheet and looks promising so all looks good for Tuesday. And then we have Will's goal, what a screamer and his work in defence was worth M.O.M. on its own. Well done Mark and the boys keep on winning and enjoying being at the top of the league. I think RB played along side Richards, Horgan is a midfielder!

Re: V Kettering Town. Home. This Saturday.

That was a proper game.  Our sheer will to defend is very impressive, and Will Richards showed what a very good player he is.  Excellent all round effort.

Re: V Kettering Town. Home. This Saturday.

Interesting I missed a late comeback from st Ives - Scoring in the 93rd minuite to deny Frome the win.  Sorry Fromie, ill have to takr back 2 of the points I handed you!

Banbury also fell to a stoppage time winner by Biggleswade, so only the top 5 won in the end!

Re: V Kettering Town. Home. This Saturday.

Wow. What a result.  And a very very good workman like superb performance. The back four were immense, Richards, Baggeridge, Bowman and Nuno, with Horgan sat just in front of them they moped up every thing Kettering could throw at us. I lost count of the amount of times they blocked shots and made superb last ditch tackles to keep out a fired up Kettering, especially in the last 20 minutes when Kettering went 4 up front in there search for goals.   In the end I can't really remember Chitty having to many saves to make. Also praise must go to Jake Andrews who came in and chased down every ball, he looks a well decent player,  and was unlucky not to score. But every player played a huge part in this massive win.  You don't win anything in Febuary, but you can certainly crank up the the pressure on the other front runners.   The Machine is really firing and as the players came off they had a very confident swagger about them.  You could see how important this game was to Mark and Tom as the final whistle sounded there was a lot of hugging and high fives, which is great to see. Neil Blackmores face was a pitchure after the game. A huge thanks must go to Neil, John and the board for the financial backing they have given the club especially when we most needed it. Well done Mark, Tom and the lads  lets keep this going to the end of the season.  Superb Win.  😎
