You don't win anything in February they say, but this February may well have a big affect on the outcome of the 2017 season. Unless everybody draws of course... Anyway, here's the rest of Fearful February in all its glory..
Chippenham (69) : Kettering(h), Kings langley, Stratford, Basingstoke
Merthyr (65): Chesham (h), Slough, Hitchin(h), Frome(h)
Hitchin (64): Weymouth, Frome(h), Merthyr, Lings Lynn, Dorchester
Leamington (62): Dorchester (h), Chesham, Cambridge, Chesham (h)
Slough (61): Cambridge, Merthyr (h), Cinderford, Dorchester
Banbury (57): Biggleswade, Weymouth (h), St Ives (h)
Frome (54): St Ives (h), Hitchin, Chesham, Merthyr
Its a make or break month for 8th placed Chesham (52) Not shown above, who will watch their playoff hopes all but disappear unless they get results in their 4 against teams above (5 if you include last nights defeat against us) They play (it seems) 6 More games in February and ultimately I believe they'll run out of steam. Similarly Frome need points to close the gaps but face games against the current 2nd and 3rd places. They are well placed to do us a big favour.
I've placed in BOLD games that are played within the top 7 teams, you can see quite clearly that we could be benefactors from the outcome, provided of course we keep our run going, but it probably means we could drop points and still be very well placed.
I dont have a handle on whats behind Leamingtons slump, but you dont become a bad side overnight, I expect Cheshams run of games to fall into the Brakes hands and that Leamington could exit the month in a much stronger position.
Its going to be a Fearful February for some. Lets not make it us! COYB

Absolutely agree with you.
I feel 9 points from the 4 games will be a great return and will be enough to keep us top of the league especially with games the other teams have playing against each other. Anything more than that I feel will open a gap. Baring in mind if we get 10 points say that will leave us on 79 points with 9 games remaining. Well 84 points finished 2nd last season. These players or more than capable of achieving that.

4 Very winnable games for the Mighty Bluebirds on the surface of it. Merthyr I think are gonna be our biggest threats

The one team I didn't mention, also on 52 with Chesham, but lacking games in hand are in fact this weekends visitors Kettering Town. They are on a reasonable run of form - since December, their only defeats coming against Slough and Merthyr both of whom required 3 goals to win. They're also the 3rd highest scorers in the league, so this should be quite a competitive affair!

As well we all know and have for many years George this league is such a minefield that anyone can beat anyone else. All we have to do at the moment is hope our results stay strong and pray for that little bit of luck that has always seemed to evade us. Let's be honest it's strange for us being the front runners instead of shooting from the chasing pack but it's a position that we seem to have a squad of professionals who can handle that pressure and a manager that keeps them very grounded. Sadly as a fan of 25 years I am finding it more difficult to not head into dream world!

I have to say, that I am about as optimistic as I've been since the Chalky playoff team. Tough game to come, but thats what it's all about at the sharp end of the season. Every game counts.
I hope to get to another game before the season ends. Or rock up as a glory hunter if we end up in the playoffs!

One game at a time chaps. After all, Liverpool had won the league by October ;-)

Really think we should have signed a genuine forward to replace Sandell, someone will be playing out of position, Joe Mc,Ferguson I suppose.
