V Kings Lynn Town. Tomorrow.

Kings Lynn will arrive at Chippenham pretty confident of taking something away from Hardenhuish Park. Especially as when we visited Kings Lynn back in September they beat us 4-0, we were very poor that afternoon and got what we deserved. That was by far the worst we have played all season. They are another side, like Weymouth who's current form is very good, they are unbeaten in there last six games and have taken identical points to us from those six games.  Confidence must be high with our lads after the way the ten men raised there level and dominated a lot of the second half against a decent Weymouth side.  Mark and Tom need to get the lads to start the way we finished on Tuesday night. Again the team could be unchanged ?    Although I Wonder if Mark will play Baggeridge after the sending off. I would think it depends on Richards fitness, but Baggeridge has done well espesially at Lemington where he was outstanding. It will be interesting. Good luck to Mark, Tom and the lads.  šŸ˜Ž

Agree šŸ˜Žvery difficult game for us today. As Richards has not played I can't see how Mark can change team I noticed he didn't get out of his tracksuit on Tuesday.

Re: V Kings Lynn Town. Tomorrow.

We seemed to run out of gas for the last 15 mins having been 2-0 up and with enough chances to avenge the 4-0 away trip. Chitty made at least 3 important saves which kept our 3pts. I would have liked to have seen a third sub to try to run the clock down with the ref somehow finding an extra 5 after the 90 was done

Odd booking for Pratt in first half. Couldn't understand what that was for unless disent

Re: V Kings Lynn Town. Tomorrow.

Very good, I thought we dominated the majority of the game today. They had good spells towards the end where chitty pulled out some great saves, but at the same time they should have been out of sight way before that, should we have been a bit more clinical in front of goal. Horgan continues to impress me, very good signing in my opinion. Hard to point out an individual for man of the match today, pratty worked his socks off and Sandell was class again, Nuno had a great game as well. Looking forward to the next game, come on boys!

Re: V Kings Lynn Town. Tomorrow.

Many people have been praising Horgs performances since he has rejoined CTFC, and rightly so. He has been an inspiration and his enthusiasm for the game is there for all to see, He held the midfield together against Kings Lynn yesterday, and continually encouraged the lads like a second captain on the pitch. I thought we held together extremely well as a team yesterday, and in my view Chitts had arguably his best game for us, making vital saves when Kings Lynn where reallyĀ turning the screws on us towards the end of the game. We are now in an excellent position in the league, and there is a gap developing nowĀ between the top 3 and the chasing pack. Tuesday evening at Kings Langley will be another toughy, and with Slough Town away next Saturday, I would settle for 4 points out of these 2 games. COYMB

Re: V Kings Lynn Town. Tomorrow.

Tindle's bicycle kick attempt in the first half worth a mention too. Well taken and on target but right at the keeper - had he scored with that we would have been talking about it for weeks

Re: V Kings Lynn Town. Tomorrow.

Excellent all round performance with Horg's and Chitty outstanding. With the run of luck we could have scored a hat full, how some of those chances didn't go in I don't know. As said previously Greg's shot was incredible and if it went in would have been a contender for goal of the season. Only negative was that when Sandell was replaced the team was reset to defend our lead. Almost immediately we conceded and were then under pressure for the remainder of the game. Had he been replaced with a forward player we could have maintained our attacking game and not given them the chance to get back into the game. The momentum is now with us so good results this week will keep us in the mix to win the league. " We're Chippenham old boys and we sing when we want."

Sorry just got to mention the ref who let K.L. get away with murder the booked Pratt for what looked like nothing.

Re: V Kings Lynn Town. Tomorrow.

Agree, but who would have played up front ?No forwards on the bench. Remains a concern .

Re: V Kings Lynn Town. Tomorrow.

It's really worrying that we don't have decent replacement forwards available on the bench. Since loosing Alan we have not replaced him and it could well cost us come the final few weeks of the season.

But for an outstanding performance from Darren Chitty we could well have ended up losing a game we had originally dominated! Next time we may not be so lucky.
