The FA cup v Poole Town.

A very tough second round game but a game we can win.  It will be interesting to see the reaction Mark and Tom get from the players after the Banbury disappointment. Hopefully we will come out even more fired up and determined to win. It's £4500 to the winners, which will come in very nicely. The weather forcast is good for Saturday so hopefully a good crowd will turn up.  Good luck to Mark, Tom and the lads. Let's get back on track with the right result.  😎

Re: The FA cup v Poole Town.

It will be interesting to see who plays today,  hopefully Matt Smith is OK, he was a massive loss on Tuesday, espesially when your chasing the game like we were. I don't think Conor will be fit, nor Pook. Chris Allen should continue he has played pretty well since he came back into the side but Pookies experience is missed.  Poole will arrive confident of at least taking the game back to there place on Tuesday night. We will need to be right at it for this one.  It's good, to see Horgs at the club a player that always seemed to play well for Hungerford against us. 😎

Unbelievable performance from all the team. This shows that when it clicks we can beat anyone. "We're Chippenham old boy and we sing when we want". And by god did you give us plenty to sing about.

All is forgiven for Tuesday night.

Terrific performance - we made Poole look very average

Re: The FA cup v Poole Town.

What a performance today and it made a really nice change to play really well at home, espesially as 436 people watched the game. Our best performances this season have all come away from home.  I was worried what the reaction would be to Tuesday defeat but it went the right way. Mark and Tom had the the boys right up for the game and we started fast and the intensity never really dropped off until the end. Wow 4-1 against a very good physical Poole Town side.  I  often worry when I see the ref is very young, but fair play to him he was superb.  Dealing well with Pooles diving and aggressive tactics and not getting flustered like some of the younger guys do. I would have to give Sands man of the match for his three goals, but Nuno ran him close with a superb performance. 1-11 plus all the subs we were very good today.  Neil Blackmore and John Applegates  happy face after the game said it all. Bring on the Kings Lynn next Saturday.  Happy days at Chippenham.

Re: The FA cup v Poole Town.

Very good performance from the boys! Well done to Mark and Tom for getting the boys up for it after a unfair result Tuesday, superb bounce back. Every player put a proper shift in and played very well, including subs. Sandell put in another brilliant performance and could of got man of the match, Nuno was also brilliant, defended well and going forward was a handful, making that left back spot his. I thought tindel and Will had another great game, for me the best centre back partnership in the league. Hopefully we can get a good draw next round and we now must go to Kings Lynn with the same attitude and do a job there. Very well done boys, superb!!!

Re: The FA cup v Poole Town.

Who do you fancy in Monday draw Guys.  ??
I see Western League Cadbury Heath are still there as are Supermarine and Taunton. No disrespect to any of these sides but any of the three at home would be nice.  And it's £7500 up for grabs to the winner.  I see the Third round is to be played on the 1 of October, so the home league game against Slough will go to a Tuesday evening game. Who ever we get a home draw would again be nice. 😎

Great performance, squad strength highlighted for me. Preece Allen who didn't start season both excellent. Maccormack and Pook sat in stand will find it hard to dislodged those two. Good vibes at CTFC.
