Firstly congratulations to the boys who now sit proud at the top of the SPL, which is brilliant after the first 5 games. I would like to comment on the attendance for the Leamington game - absolutely pathetic. How can you have a better attendance for a mid week game against mid table opposition, than against the league leaders before the start of Satuday's game ? I do not buy the usual Chippenham public apathy that the weather was not going to be that special. We have adequate cover on 3 sides of the ground, or it is still the holiday period ! It beggars the question that has been debated many times before on this forum - what do the public of Chippenham and the outlying district's actually want from the football club ? Speaking to the players in the bar after the game, and they were bitterly disappointed with crowd, with the most common comment being 'what have we got to do the get people along to watch us ?' In this league at the moment being as strong as it is, you will rarely see 5/6 goals scored by one team, apart from the odd occasion when this does happen. Let's hope for a good result at St.Neots this Saturday, which will hopefully encourage those who fear a drop of rain to come along and cheers on the Bluebirds. It is a local derby against

It's holiday season so expect the attendance to be down somewhat, shame as this game came too early in the season. So can we please stop moaning on about it game after game, thankfully the sign is now being replaced which should shut a few up :-)

I agree with ToyBoy that the attendance on Saturday was pathetic. Yes it was a bit damp but we were playing the club sitting at the top of the league who had won all their games so far and the solution is to stand under cover. Maybe the home fans who didn't turn up expected a loss and didn't want to hear the away fans singing and banging the advertising hoardings. I thought the officials had a good game overall and it looked like they were a bit older/more experienced that the ones we had for the first two home games.
