Remind me, did a member of the human race actually write this shocking post?

Re: Hillsborough

I couldn't agree more Yorkie, 96 people lost their lives after going to watch a football match. The officials hid information and the families have suffered heartbreak and anger for 27 years, inquiries have been made with missing document and doctored documents. The miscarriage of justice almost certainly went to the top of the so called establishment.......Boring I certainly think NOT

Re: Hillsborough

BORING!! It's not ******** Eastenders pal, it's peoples lives that were lost!! Sorry if the whole thing was not entertaining enough for you in your armchair but I stress this is not a victory for Liverpool but for football. It was a disaster that could have happened to any teams supporters on any given day and justice was never delivered. How would you feel if your family member was killed and then you were just told "accidents happen" I hope this never happens to you as I am sure based on this comment many people would take great pleasure in telling you to "just get over it already" IDIOT!!

Re: Hillsborough

Some years ago, I subscribed to the official line. Well why wouldn't I? I wasn't there, placed trust in our authorities, and football had a torrid history in the 80's - I didn't like the thought that people died or suffered, but was much of the opinion that it was an accident waiting to happen, that 96 people died as a result of peoples inability to control themselves at a football game.
How wrong was I? And I apologise for habouring those thoughts to anyone I may have offended over the last 20 odd years for spouting them occasionally.
The implications for Law, Order and our trust in the authorities, our democracy even, are dire.
Right from the off, the sole intent of the senior police officials was to vilify a section of the population, slur their names and blame them wholly for the deaths of 96 people. They used the press, briefed government accordingly, altered statements from thier own officers to support the myth that 96 people got what they deserved.
Since this awful day happened, we also find out the same forces Senior officers used similar tactics to blame Orgreave Miners for violence, despite having elected to confront them on that day with what amounted to a paramilitary force.
The South Yorkshire police force falsified misled and lied on a grand scale over the death of 96 people. They operated, it seemed with impunity, they were, in their minds above the law. Think about that. If they could do that,  What else could they have done? I cannot comment at the moment about the Child abuse scandal as that is ongoing.
The actions of the senior officers and others complicit with them undermine our justice system and the reputation other forces around the country. The bonds of trust have been broken.
For certain, no one left home that morning intending 96 people to die, but to treat our justice system with the level of contempt that they did, requires action NOW. Those at the top, who conspired over this whole dreadful charade should face the full force of that system which they held in such contempt.

Re: Hillsborough

Bradford Fire, Ibrox disaster, Zeebrugge, Belfast during the troubles, there are lots of injustices in the world so why is this one any different?

Re: Hillsborough

Oh dear god! Please do the world a favour and take a nap on the train track!! I feel like I'm indulging a child by responding but clearly this isn't about Hillsborough being more poignant than any other disaster in the world. There are far bigger than Hillsborough but to insinuate that it's "boring" because so many other injustices are overlooked shows a rather moronic approach to life. But then like we have said many times on this and other forums. You always get one

Re: Hillsborough

Bradford fire - The reasons were uncovered and dealt with
Zebrugge - Reasons uncovered and dealt with
Belfast - Are you effing serious? Having spent a number of years checking under my car for a bomb every morning, you're talking to the wrong person.

Hillsborough. - Cover up, and much more than an injustice. You could try reading my post again, however consider this, under 'their rules' you, and that's YOU,  would not get judged or dealt with fairly. - Now, I know what you'll say, but I wont do anything to get into trouble in the first place so it doesn't matter. We'll i'll reiterate one point:
Neither did they.

Re: Hillsborough

I agree with George and the Voice. I would like to see Wellard come out from behind this forum name and go and tell relatives of the 96 the it's boring. As a parent I have waved good bye to my children over the years as they have gone to games or gigs and always welcomed them back home afterwards. I don't know how I would feel if something like that happened to them. But I do know I would want the truth not some cover up by people would were only interested in saving their own arses.
