Re: King's LYNN

4-1 - one of the best goals I've seen at HP from Sandell for his second and even Olly Taylor scored the 4th

Re: King's LYNN

WE'RE TOP OF THE LEAGUE. Coming into February aswell. scored 19 goals in 5 games. We shouldn't fear anyone this squad is outstanding.

Great result, got to keep pushing on, rather have the points on the board than a load of games to cram in.

Games in hand for others not as much of a concern from about a month ago. Push on boys push on

Re: King's LYNN

What a game the ground was rocking and a crowd of over 400 enjoyed one of the best goals of the season with Andy's second. He just put his foot through the ball and it was only going to end one way with a marvellous goal. Nice to see the crowd getting behind the team and great competition from the Lynn fans ( god that was a long way to travel for that result).
As stated previously with this squad we need not fear any team in this league , even with James, Connor and Bally missing from the team we still managed to score 4 goals. Come on lads lets push on to the title.

Re: King's LYNN

The dream is now becoming a real possibility, well done Mark,Tom and the boys. Everything in the garden is looking rosy. But there's no room for complacency.
Cum on you Bluebirds.

Re: King's LYNN

That game provided a real "I was there" moment.  WHAT a strike by Sands for the third goal.  I thought the first was decent - taking it early, showing signs of real confidence - but his second goal was unbelievable. I can recall some great goals at HP over the years but that one was pure instinct and one of those moments that makes standing on the terraces in all winds and weathers worthwhile. Absolutely brilliant.
Ironically just before that I was thinking that he could have cost us.  He had a great chance to make it 3-0 but chose to try and lob the keeper instead of blasting it.  They pulled a goal back soon after and were looking like they might go on and draw level, but the wonder goal killed them.  A bit of a struggle in the first half, but an altogether better performance by the whole team in the second.  Sands will take all the plaudits, and rightly so, but I thought Tindle was immense again. COYB.

Re: King's LYNN

Here's a piece of nostalgia for you, and on the same theme as Andy's wonder goal last Saturday. Can I take you back to when we last played Tiverton Town at home in an SPL game (cannot remember how long ago, probably before 2010 - Gilly was in his first spell with us). It was a typical rough and tumble affair and Tivvy were having player's sent off it seemed like every 10 minutes. They were down to 8 players when they conceded a free kick approx. 35-40 yards out. Kye Holly stepped up hit the free kick with such venom, the poor old keeper never saw it coming. The ball hit the back of the net, and the whole goal frame was shaking, and I remember the ground being totally silent for a few seconds before everyone realized what they had just witnessed. What a strike. You can argue that it is easier to score from a dead ball as you have more time. In my opinion Andy's goal was the best I have seen at HP in my 40+ years following the Bluebirds. He had little time to line up his shot as he had 2 defenders putting him under pressure, and to score with his weak right foot as well took some doing. If that goal had been on MOTD, they would have been showing it for weeks. Has any one else got memories of 'wonder strikes' at HP?

Re: King's LYNN

Scott Walker against Gloucester. Was it 2-2 at the time?. Punt from the keeper bounced once as Scott ran through and from outside of the box leathers it home. Its on video somewhere.

Edit. We'd come back to 2-2 from 0-2 down. 10 mins to go, Hervin launches the ball....

Re: King's LYNN

Remember that one well - August Bank Holiday Monday I think it was.

Toyboy - I nearly mentioned the Kye Holly goal.  Has to be the best free-kick goal I've seen at HP,

Agree - Sands goal is the best I've seen I reckon.  Jamie Vardy gets all the plaudits and Sands isn't on film (is it?).
