There's this bloke Lewis Powell knocking goals in for fun in South west one, maybe he'd like to come back and play a bit part in our promotion push, after all he's played for 3 teams this year why not a 4th?

We have got Andy Sandell, maybe just need cover for Andy and Alan,

Need somebody for cover admittedly but I would much rather have a proven quality striker come in for the right wage and use Griffin as the impact sub. We have to think carefully as a board now are we going for promotion this season? If so we need to start looking at players that will radically improve our chances of staying in National League South next season without damaging the wage bill to the point that should we fail to go up we are left paying for it next year. Who would be a chairman ;) The bottom line is we have over achieved to this point in the season and now we really should be taking this chance to build on the good work we have put in. I think a good result here and there and a bit of luck in matches around us it's certainly there for the taking! COME ON CHIPPENHAM!!

Totally agree with the Voice's thoughts here. We have over achieved to a point I feel, because we are a good, robust team, but not a ruthless team yet. We do need a ruthless striker that will take the chances that the main strikers are not taking at the moment, but they come at a price. Whoever the manager and chairman brings in they must integrate into the squad ethos that has been created by the management team. My understanding is the current squad has a 'one for all and all for one' type approach, meaning everyone is fighting for everyone else, which is how it should be. Our squad I feel would not take kindly to a 'big time charlie' arriving, because that could upset the fantastic team spirit that has been built up. I took a quick look at the St. Neot's Fan Forum earlier, and literally every post praised CTFC as the best footballing side they had seen this season following Saturday's fantastic result. How often have we heard comments like that about us ? No not often. Promotion is fast becoming a reality if we keep up this rich vain of form, and the lads keep believing in themselves. One, possibly two more players added to the squad will push us on for that promotion push. COYB

No I think both points are valid no player is going to drop down for 10 bob a week and No Sandell is probably not on the same money as some of the squad players but I don't think anyone would begrudge him being on that money he is a marquee signing for Chippenham and is delivering the goods clearly. I said at the start of the season and still feel now we need a pacey striker to run off Sandell, with a good eye for goal and a good link up the Sandell's good football brain. Also someone to make space for Sandell to keep scoring and having time on the ball. Suarez is the master of it he draws defenders allowing Messi and Neymar to score lots of goals and also has a great eye for goal himself. **** it can we sign Suarez? MARK COLLIERS BLUE AND WHITE ARMY
