A very difficult game against a very inform Hungerford. We always seem to struggle against them. The best I can remeber since they came into our division is a draw. A team with a bit of money but no soul. Hopefully we can put out a strong team and turn them over. Good luck to Mark, Tom and the lads.

Sorry goalhanger but with an average gate of 148 the money isn't coming from the fans so if not them who???? Anyway an entertaining game Hungerford's keeper lucky not to get a red for his protests about the goal and I thought we did enough to get 3 points, couldn't see what was wrong with the last minute goal, offside ? how ? the defender was jumping with our guy so playing him on. 2nd in league going into the new year, am I dreaming? HAPPY 2016

Hungerford get small crowds but if the owner leaves you'll struggle without new investment. Your budget is a lot bigger than ours and have players on contract at over £300. Our players don't get near that. And we're still better than you. You're effective yes. But you have to be the ugliest team to watch along with St Neots.

Cant argue with stats Hobgoblin , our small fanbase frustrates us and is a big stick with which bigger clubs love to beat us. I just wondered how many fans we would need to qualify to have a soul ? 200..300 ? Driving straight from work to Merthyr on a stormy Tuesday night with 3 others in the car, wondering if anyone else is going is probably more a sign of stupidity than anything else. But standing applauding your team in the rain after a 1-4 drubbing and being applauded by the players before and after the match says something positive about the club (I think).Yes agree Chippenham had the better of the game yesterday, but happiness is getting a point away from home with your only shot on goal. Have no axe to grind with Chippenham as a club or town , so wish you well for the rest of the season.Stratford ..... if you are quick you might catch the end of Mary Poppins.

If only Fromie. Maybe including his full time job but not close to just football alone. On another note though. New manager for you who pays in his own money have a bigger budget than us and still in bottom 4. Looking good for you. Were 2nd.

Oh yea Frome have a massive budget, that's why they're signing former Pro's on the way down, and trying to recruit the better players from other local sides rather than concentrating on students and those with a point to prove like Chippenham!

Gary's making a fair point Staffy, our budget is shall, we say, competitive compared to most teams otherwise we wouldn't be able to offer a contract to a former pro and sign players from our local rivals, have to have some sympathy for Frome, we seem to sign every decent player they have.
Sandell on less than £400 a week purely for being a player really....
As for us developing our own players wonder how Ryan Campbell feels, probably felt he had a chance of a run in the team then in come Simpson, who hardly set the world alight in his first spell did he. ..

Simpson a sprinter yes, but a footballer? Didn't see anything last time he was with us, yes he's quick but doesn't appear to have ball control or a footballing brain to go with it. Lets see what he can offer this time, will retract my comment if he turns out to be something special. I my opinion Campbell is a good little player who has pace and can shoot at the end of it.
