Re: Melksham Friendly

Extremely impressed by the overall performance last night. Thought everyone looked as though they were fighting for their starting place against Dunstable for next week. Very impressed with Matt Smith, who in my view is a very important signing, and Mark Francis who looked strong and hungry up front. My concern is who does the Manager start with up-front ? Philips in my view is not the answer, but OK for the bench. I'm sure the Manager know's who is starting eleven will be, with Sandell, Holgate and possibly Francis the likely front men. Pooky, Smithy and Fergie look awesome in the middle, and the remaining places I would be interested to hear the views from others.

Re: Melksham Friendly

Guthrie has probably received more bookings these last few seasons than he has scored goals. Rob Dean appeared to be the goal scoring midfielder we had lacked. We need somebody apart from the out and out strikers to get a dozen goals or so per season to take the pressure off the strikers.

Re: Melksham Friendly

Guthrie needs to be warned that if his booking tally is the same as last two seasons, he has no future at this club, he is a liability.

Re: Melksham Friendly

Hopefully that will be the case - a lot of his goals last season came when he played as a striker
