Hopefully they get someone even worse in.
I've heard that Horgan and Coupe have applied.
Rubbish, stop stirring the pot. Job not even been advertised yet.
Although I can see why Bath would want them, achieving miracles on a small budget.
An easy man to dislike, with a large chip on his shoulder, he achieved very little with what had, which at time must have been a budget considerable higher than ours. Albeit pretty low this season from what I understand.
His model was to pay over the odds for local talent(£400 more per week for Russe), mainly from us. And use costly ex pro’s who are injury prone.
Didn’t use academy players much to fill the gaps, which proves costly.
Bath have real problems dispite descents crowds a, huge dept and large ageing ground that costs a fortune to maintain, a real burden on future budgets.
But they have a bigger ground and better toilets than us, as they constantly like to remind us every time they visit. 🙄

They traveled up to us this afternoon, already showing the difference in budgets.
Will be a tough one

I doubt Bath could afford him either.
Looked like a penalty to me, ball was gone and he put a foot in.
Although the real issue was/is how did we get into that position in the first place. Messing about at the back and Haines giving Spokes a pass he didn’t really want…who’s poor first touch encouraged the attack to press a bit harder.
General Discussion » Hampton and Richmond » 26/10/2024 7:16 PM |
But what changes…we are awash with similar midfielders. Bray/Johnson/Dawes/Gravata.
Only one striker fit who is trying his hardest up front.
And a full back playing at centre back.
Most changes are like for like and have little impact.
I said it ages ago we need to bring a striker in, permanent or on loan to add some competition.
WSM have brought in Sam Pearson from Yeovil and he scored 2 today.
We are well behind Bath, Salisbury, WSM and dare I say it Gloucester in the pecking order.

Excellent result, made Hemel look average, as we did against WSM but this time we put the ball away. Granted maybe helped by the penalty as Harry had a couple of early chances and couldn’t capitalise. Very unlucky with the chance that hit both post!!
We just played the ball forward, at pace with purpose.
Dawes and Leon were excellent. Most others good as well.
Let’s have some more of that please and not this dull defensive rubbish.

Said it all when 1 nil down with 10mins to go. And we swap Parsons for McClure, such a negative attitude.
Bench Spent most of the game arguing with the young 4th official. What’s the point as he is powerless to do anything.
Johnson is better than the new guy, so release him early on the first train back to York.

You have to be having some sort of Joke here.

Commentary and Weston manager's reaction suggests we did everything but find the back of the net.
Becoming a common theme. McClure is ineffective and was last season and Parsons always gives his all and it’s not for the lack of trying but he’s never going to be a 20 goal a season striker.
Why we resigned the permanently injured Bray is beyond me, especially when we have loads of midfielders. Money would have been better spent on a proven Goal scorer.
Failure to address this in previous seasons (not had a decent partnership since Sandell & Pratt) is coming back to bite us big time.
Do we have time to wait for McClure and Parsons to come good before we act?

It looked to me that mayhew played a lot further up the pitch against WSM,almost a second striker.Like everyone else can’t understand what is going on with Parsons. We were all over WSM in first and deserved a goal.McClure has a good football brain, but needs someone to feed off of him or we need a 6ft 6 inch striker to lead the attack.Shame AAH is injured, he always adds something to us up front when he comes on. Also again no atmosphere . Hopefully a win on Tuesday and the cup run continues.
Atmosphere an issue as Simon and all his merry men were banned for the game I was told???
What could we do to help the low attendances, you asked, well not ban our most vocal and loyal supporters.
What a silly post.

Yep, totally agree at the moment we are very boring to watch.
We’ve signed a player who, IMHO the same as Johnson, we are struggling for goals, please play two strikers at home!!
I know 5 or 6 people who don’t bother coming anymore.
The playing style does nothing to change encourage the casual supporter to return.
Go out Tuesday and it’s going to be a long old season.
I’ve said it before, we have gone backwards off the pitch, increased prices, Under 16s having to pay, not-for-value season ticket (only have to miss 4 games).
Although I would say it’s nice to see 4 turnstiles open.
