Dangerous talk referring to the SLP as  "Tinpot".  First of all it implies that we are we are too good for the League, like aristocrats lowering ourselves to mix with our natural inferiors.... which is just arrogant.  And secondly, it is the sort of talk that creates unnecessary pressure on the Club, and suggests that anything other than immediate promotion will be unacceptable.  I would argue that the SLP is probably, for the moment anyway, our " natural" home given our resources and gates. NLS is our ideal League, and we did very well to remain in it as long as we did.
A bit of humility and realism might not go amiss this season.
 

Very preachy and a bit happy clappy  Rambler. Not exactly arrogance - someone having a opinion about the standard of a league of low standard. Having seen a few matches at that level, it's not that great. Also what is wrong with a supporter wanting better and more for the Club they pay good money to watch? As for showing a bit of humility, think you'll find the club acts in a far too humble way. That's why they got relegated, still have the same failed management team and a side on the pitch which nobody at the club has any expectations about.

Didn't they have a kid from the academy on the books last season but decided to get someone in on loan for the last game when Will Henry was unavailable?
Doubt there will much experience in there any time soon (unless these latest experiment goes pear-shaped). All about the academy structure.- more Chippenham Park (remember them?) rather than Chippenham Town.
 

Thought we looked like a relegation bound team once Ebbsfleet scored. Not a popular view but seemed to be men against boys for the most part. Not sure survival will be achievable as there is a lot to do and a fair few teams to pass in the league table. We don't win enough games.

Enjoyed the game with both teams really giving their all and Chippenham really believing in what they needed to do against a big hitter. Not only did Chippenham get the ball forward quickly they were also very disciplined out of possesion and liked the look of Fleet in midfield. Him,Tom Mehew and also TOE had to work hard and personally felt they done sometimes unnoticed hard yards, extremely well. Although agree with the mention about how physical these hybrid/full time teams are, Fingers crossed we won't go back to triangles at goal kicks and tippy tippy at the back and continue mix things up as yesterday showed what can happen if we get amongst the opposition and unsettle them..

Good progress to the the next round, goals are always fun even though these days it brings the out of place and low quality goal music (sorry just my opinion - maybe i am too old to be down with kids!) We looked in easy street at half time and more so when Fasanmade made it 3-0. Gloucester to their credit kept going but for all their good approach play always looked vulnerable at the back. Mike Cook must of been tearing his hair out when the goalie made such a daft error for the 5th goal, could of been a very nervous ending for us of Chipp persuasion without his comical mistake. Next round something to look forward to at the the start of a new year.
